Baby shower and inviting co-workers

Need some advice; I work in a very small department (about 16 people). There are a few coworkers that I feel close with and would like to invite them to my baby shower next month. The issue is there is one person I do not wish to invite, but due to the size of our department I am concerned she would find out that others were invited and she was not and I am worried it would cause issues at the office.

Should I just not invite anyone from the office to keep office moral or say screw it and invite those I want?

please help

I would treat it like they do kids' birthday parties. Either you invite less than half the group or you invite everyone.

Your co-workers do not want to go to your baby shower. Don't invite any of them.

I'm not mixing work and play. Work can throw me a separate shower if they like, but only family and non-work friends were invited.

As others have said, I would invite the people who I socialize with outside of work, otherwise I wouldn't invite any of them.
