Measles

I was walking into Target this morning and there was a health notice on the door. It said there was a suspected case of measles in the store. I know there are outbreaks every where. I can't believe in this day in age that we have to worry about it.
@britvahok‌ this is the target near the N zone.
This is in Northern Virginia. Any one else ever see a notice like this in your area?

    yes, we are in the nyc area and our pediatrician sent out a notice that there was a measles outbreak. i can't believe we have to worry about this either-- it's utterly ridiculous.

    @sjandva have you seen this article?  Apparently the child was out of the country and caught measles then returned to VA and he diagnosed earlier this week.  That Target is the closest one to my job so I'm always there.  

    I don't want to start another vaccine debate but this makes me sooooo upset!!!!!  Here's everywhere he visited

    • South Riding Pediatrics and other businesses at 25055 Riding Plaza, South Riding, Va. -- Monday, April 28 between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.; Tuesday, April 29 between 3 and 7 p.m.; Wednesday, April 30 between 3:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.
    • Target, 14391 Chantilly Crossing Lane, Chantilly, Va. -- Monday, April 28 between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
    • Home Depot, 25000 Riding Plaza, Chantilly, Va. -- April 30 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
    • Inova Dulles South Radiology Imaging Center and other businesses at 24801 Pinebrook Road, Chantilly, Va. -- Wednesday, April 30 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

    @britvahok‌ I saw that on the news after I posted. I wonder how old the child was. It makes me very angry. It will be interesting to see where this goes. I pray no newborns, who haven't had the chance to be vaccinated don't contract it.

    OMG, I just got done reading this and the news came on saying there is a measles case in the county I live in, in southwestern PA. It is a man in his 30's that didn't get both of the shots. OMG he lives just 2 towns over....scary!

    I was just going to say this @saltypearl. I thought I had even read that our entire province has been labelled as an outbreak. Several cases here in Calgary too.

    I think it's Calgary, Edmonton and Central Alberta....I'm freaking out a bit to be giving birth during a measles outbreak :(
    We are in living in the eastern part of Alberta now too.  It is scaring me.  The big girl's got their needles in school as did Logan.  I need to get the younger ones to get their shots.
