Diaper Changes for little girls

I have a 1 week old little girl and she has like a white discharge in her area. How do I clean it besides just wiping & sponge baths? I am a first time mom.

Normal, don't be too aggressive, it goes away.

They told me not to aggressively go in and wipe is that it will go away.

Our pediatrician said to just do one swipe with a wipe and that's it.
