Such thing as to much water?

So ive had like 3 ultrasounds in the last week. I'm due May 23 ((according to ultrasound)) but I'm getting induced on May 16th due to having to much water in my womb. Is that even possible? They said my womb is filling up more with water and they are freaking out thinking that the water can crush the baby or something. Ive never heard of this but I guess its something high risk enough to have me induced at 39 weeks.

    My SIL had this. She was right at the top level of how much fluid they want you to carry.  I'm not sure everything they did to try and correct it.  I know she was essentially put on a GD diet, but the baby was also measuring big, so that may have been more for that, and I don't know if they did anything else.  Her levels did come down, though, once they started monitoring it and her healthy baby girl was born on Monday.
