Hair care

When my daughter got her first haircut , they recommended either using a gel or a conditioner to push it back. Can anyone suggest haircare products natural not a lot of chemicals

Re: Hair care

  • As an ex-hair stylist, I would not recommend either of those things! Gel is too heavy & conditioner is not a styling product. I would get them cut or use a clip of some sort.

  • This is a great site to find the safest body products. https://www.ewg.org/skindeep/.  We use California Baby leave in conditioner on DS because he has really curly hair.  Not sure you really need something to keep LO's hair back though.
  • For DS we use pure coconut oil. It can be found in any grocery store. Some people assume it's for cooking only, but if you read the label it's great for skin and hair. I'd recommend that.

  • the hairdresser recommending if i want to grow her hair out, jsut take a little conditoner or gel and part it away from her face, it should be good.  I dont want to cut them because i want to grow her hair out.

I don't know if it would work in your case or not, but you could try The Honest Company leave in conditioner spray. It smells like a creamsicle.

  • We use suave kids morning hair tamer when DD's hair is crazy and to keep her hair out of her eyes since she's been boycotting clips lately. It's alcohol free and smells really good. I don't use it every day, just when needed, but it works well.
