Inspired by this week's UO: How often does your spouse address you by your first name?

(In the comments--What do you call each other? Has it changed at all since you had kids?)

I would say rarely. It's usually honey or something similar if he's just talking to me or mommy if he's referring to me around our son. The only change since having kids would be using mommy sometimes.

He will use my first name if he needs to get my attention sometimes.

Very rarely. Even when he's mad, still no. If he wants to get my attention he will usually yell "MOM!" because that's probably more likely to get my attention than my name. Lol

We've been calling eachother babe since we were dating. Sometimes I'll say Ryan, but he will only say my name if he's talking about me or introducing me.

It's either Alex or babe for when I'm talking to him and Nicole or babe when he's talking to me. When we're talking to Grayson we call each other mommy and daddy.

Maybe we are weird....

I pretty much only call my H by his name (a shorten version that no one else really uses - but still his name) and he pretty much only calls me my name. When he is talking to B he will say something like "did you and Mom have a good day?" but when he is talking to me, he calls me Meg. Once in a blue moon we call each other babe.

I don't actually think we call each other anything very often. I guess I just assume he knows A) it's me and

I'm talking to him, and vice versa. We call each other "love" or use names once in a while, but it's pretty rare.

In front of Joseph he'll refer to me as mama and I'll refer to him as daddy. Not in front of Joseph we just use our real names because we both don't care for pet names.

Oh and my fiance will call me love sometimes if he's sucking up to me and wants something but it's always more in a joking way.

Only use each other's real names if we have tried to get each other's attention and one of us isn't paying attention, or if we are arguing.

Other than that he is hubby or stud and I'm wifey, BB or Hun

I call him babe, love or Mr. last name. He calls me babe or princess. We are corny.

We mostly call each other babe. I think for a while I fell into a rut of calling him "Love" anytime I wanted a favor, so I had to break myself of that ;-)

Every once in a while I do call him by his first name, but there's not really rhyme or reason to it.

We only call each other mommy/daddy around Zane when we're talking about the other person to Zane, but we still call each other babe or whatnot when Zane is in the room.

He very rarely uses my name. He calls me babe most of the time. When he's leaving for work he'll say " later my love."
I call him babe and honey most of the time. If I'm mad at him I'll call him Seth!! (that's his real name btw)

Its weird when he does use my name though, it sounds so weird.

Rarely. He uses a family nickname or a shortened version of my actual name (but not very often). And if we're saying something for the benefit of the kids we call each other mommy and daddy like "Daddy, Aiden is coming over to show you something!" but never for another reason because that's weird lol

We don't use cutesy names or any nicknames. It doesn't really feel like "us" to say babe, honey, sweetheart, etc.

We either say our real names(Jennifer or Justin) or babe. He's actually the only close person that has never called me by my nick name Jen or Jenni. I will call me "Just" sometimes.

DH gets worried when I say his first name cause then he thinks he's in trouble somehow. lol! Nothing too cutesy-just call him sweetie. When we first started dating, I was nervous around him all the time so I resorted to sarcasm a lot and he would say, "You're such a punk." It evolved into Punky as a pet name and so now I often don't even respond to him when he says my first name cause then I get confused and I'm like, "Are you talking to me?"

We use our real names or the nicknames everyone uses for us.

We also don't have nicknames for DD. It kinda drives me crazy when people try to give her cutesy nicknames because it does not fit our personalities.

I think this depends on who we are around. If it's just us and J is in bed, he will usually call me baby/babe/hun/something like that. He will use my first name more when we're around other people. When J is up we try to emphasize mama and dada, but we'll still use pet names in front of him too.

Pretty often, I'd say. I definitely use his name more than anything else but he likes the NNs. It hasn't changed since having kids but I do try to remember to refer to Daniel as Dad or Daddy to Josh so he doesn't start calling him Daniel. Although that would be pretty hilarious.
