Things that make you irrationally mad

Hi ladies...
So I thought it might be fun to just air out those things that make you mad or annoyed , but you're ashamed to admit they do because it's fairly irrational...

I have 2 that I won't even tell my husband about because I know how stupid it is:
1. Ever since I gave LO her lovey, I've been calling it "sleepy monkey"... Yesterday when I went to pick her up I asked mil where sleepy monkey was, and she said "you mean pepa? We call it pepa" why can't she just use the name I gave it??
2. My BIL calls LO "baby" all the time...she has a name!

Ok I'm done, that felt good... :P

I don't think it's irrational to be mad about those....

Mine would be my in laws. It's to the point where anything they do irritates the hell out of me. I won't even tell MIL the birthday party theme for LO because I know she'll throw all these ideas at me. And I'll automatically hate them. I know she's trying to help, but it's so over bearing. I used to like owls, until she bombarded me with owl crap that she found at auctions or garage sales. I don't need that shittery.

Edited because I can't spell "crap" apparently.

  • I hate that DH never wants to do anything. It annoys the shit out of me. He doesn't want to ever to run any errands. No one "likes" to run errands but I just like to go out as a family, doesn't matter to me what we're doing.

He whines like a child whenever I suggest that we should go to Walmart to grab whatever we need or any other place for that matter. He'd rather stay home all day and play video games.

I feel like he's someone who would be better off living in his parent's basement. I'm not sure if this should make me so angry but it does. It makes me ragey.

  • Speaking of nicknames for the babies.
My LOs name is Anna. Of course we started calling her Anna Banana. But now that MIL started calling her that (and only that) it bothers me so much, I'm thinking about correcting people. But I can't tell my husband why I don't like it anymore.
  • When people call "just to chat" at 7 am. Please mother, I love you, but let me wake up first.

When my dogs rub their bodies on the sides of my bed. They do it to shake the bed and get my attention, but I hate it! Especially when LO is sleeping in my bed.

Rude salespeople. I can't take them. Had a run in with a couple yesterday. Had a gift card to a baby boutique a few towns away for LO. You would think these women were selling Chanel handbags. They are so rude and only want to wait on you if you are obviously wealthy. I was the only one in the boy section of the store and I was looking at clothes for a baby gift and the woman working there reacted like I was asking her to do long division when I asked her if she had something in a size 6 months. Then she gasps at my son and goes "for HIM?" Like he's a wooley mammoth. Two other middle aged women came in after me and she fawned over them like they were Madonna. I asked another question about a sign on the rack with a sale price and she first acted like she didn't hear me then told me to read the sign. The sign said "up to 20% off" so no lady that isn't clear. Is it 5%? 10%? 20%? When I was checking out the sale price the woman told me wasn't ringing up so I had to pay full price. I then complained that not only did the woman tell me it was 20% off she was really rude ignored me for 20 minutes and only waited on the women that came in after me. The cashier goes "sorry to hear that I will let my manager know when she isn't busy." Ugh. If I didn't have a gift card to use I wouldn't have bought anything. I was so irrationally angry that I had tears when I got in the car. It felt like that scene in Pretty Woman.

  • My neighbors behind us. Their dogs and my dog always get into a full on barking match if they are out at the same time and the neighbors will not go out to stop them from barking or bring them inside. They just always wait for us to solve the problem. This has always irritated me but now with having a LO my rage with it has just gotten so out of control. It's not always easy to just stop everything I'm doing and truck to the back corner of out yard to get our dog.
  • I hate repeating myself. Its irrational because the other person can't help that they can't hear me clearly for whatever reason. But if they keep saying, "what? huh?" I just give up. My dad is the worst! That man, I love him to death but he should not have a cell phone.
  • When LO won't go to sleep, especially for a nap in the swing. Some days it's fine, some days I want to go bang my head against a wall.

When my mom gives me unsolicited advice, especially now that we've bought a house and have a lot of stuff to do in it. Apparently we know nothing and she knows everything.

  • TRIPPING ON THINGS!! When I trip over something I want nothing more than to break what I tripped on. I can tell I will be the mother who throws away a you if I trip on it more than once.

Also when DH gets a text, he stops everything. He could be mid sentence and just not finish his thought. Also he is very good at ignoring me. And I too HATE repeating myself.
  • I lose my mind when my husband or MIL tells me to calm down.  Sometimes my husband will say it and I probably do need to calm down but it still irritates me.  However, my MIL will tell me to calm down over stupid things like the other day they were over for a cookout at our house and I couldn't find the hamburger buns anywhere.  I was searching high and low for them and she comes in and tells me to "just calm down".  I find it so condescending and rude.
  • When my cell phone lags or freezes when I'm trying to search something, text someone, taking photos etc. I've had my iPhone for 3 years now and the storage capacity is at it's limit so I can hardly type a sentence without it freezing a couple times per few words. This drives me so insane I feel like a lunatic. I once got so mad I just threw my phone to the floor and stomped off huffing and puffing like a 2 year old. Needless to say I'm going to buy a new one with 32GB space before I lose my mind.
  • Celebrity nicknames that the media comes up with: Branjelina, Bennifer, J-Law for Jennifer Lawrence, and now I saw J-Hud for Jennifer Hudson.

  • I hate it when people give LO a nickname, namely the people I have told already that we will be calling her by her name, not shortening it.

I hate it when my dogs toenails get so long I can hear him tap tap tapping on the floors as he walks.  I also hate it when he is outside and he barks to get back in.

I hate it when people call LO "my baby".  She is my baby, not yours.

I hate it when I ask DH what he wants for dinner and he says "whatever".  I actually can't stand it everytime he says "whatever".  Give me your freaking opinion.

When my computer freezes and I have to go through autosave.  I hate that crap.

  • When Erin hits me and kicks me when we are laying side by side. I know she is playing but I seem to still get agrivated.

And when DH doesn't care about bed time for the kids. Everyone is having fun now but they are tired and they will have a crappy day to next morning.

Oh my gosh yes. Usually I'm pretty darn calm when H says it, but once he does, I want to flip out.

I get super angry when I'm interrupted while speaking. During arguments with my husband I can never get a word in edgewise and I want to throat punch him so bad. I also get mad when somebody is riding my bumper, especially when I have my baby in the car. I got out of my car at a red light one time (DH was driving so baby girl wasn't left alone) to tell the idiot behind us that my baby was in the car and if he didn't get off our ass I was getting out of the car with my baseball bat at the next light. DH thought I was nuts but dude backed the hell off after that. For the record, there was no baseball bat in my car but he didn't know that! :-)

@averettgirl‌ when people cut me off when I'm talking I see red. My sister always did it growing up and my H does it now and I want to throat punch him, too.

People who talk to me in a condescending tone as if I'm a frigging moron. Ahhhhhh!

There's more but those 2 are the most obnoxious.

  • When my mom acts like captain obvious by giving me advice like, "you'll find that if you take proper care of your garden tools they will last very long". I fume.

I also don't love the "I don't know" or "whatever" about dinner thing.

My husband has a tendency to ask my opinion and then criticize what I say. Why did he want my opinion if he was just planning on doing whatever he wants to anyway?

When my dh does ANYTHING in the kitchen he always leaves crumbs everywhere. I swear he can just breathe in the kitchen and voila! Crumbs.

This. When DH keeps playing with LO at bedtime and I have to say 100 times give me the baby it's bedtime. He gets mad that I'm mad everytime but if he just gave her to me it wouldn't end up that way!

  • @mewebster59 Next time tell him you're having popcorn or cereal or something like that for dinner since he doesn't have an opinion. Or don't ask him and just make something.

    I should!

I hate it even more when he says "whatever" or "I don't care" and then I suggest something and turns his nose up!  Makes me crazy.
