I think dinner tonight is going to be spinach ravioli and sautéed broccoli.

Monday night I made baked salmon, roasted green beans and sautéed cauliflower (my favorite!)... Last night I made a veggie stir fry with brown rice. I am hoping to go three for three with cooking tonight!

QOTW: Grilled cheese and tomato soup reminds me of snow days when I was little. Egg salad sandwiches on white bread with the crusts cut off remind me if my Grammie. There are these Greek butter cookies that remind me of my Papou (grandfather). And Spanikopita (spinach pie) reminds me of holidays with family :)

    Me - 30, My wife - 31 , Together for 10 yrs - Married August 2012

    5 medicated IUIs w/ RE (March - July 2013) = BFN

    Fresh IVF Cycle in September 2013 resulted in 18 mature eggs, 16 fertilized, 12 made it to day 5. Transfer of 2 Grade A blastocysts on 9/15/13, and 10 embryos in the freezer!      *****BFP on 9/25/13 - betas: @10dp5dt = 232; @12dp5dt = 465; @15dp5dt = 1,581   *********William George born June 4, 2014*********

  • Tonight will be either risotto cakes, grilled chicken and asparagus. Partly inspired by @2MamazInSeattle‌ mention of a delish sounding risotto in TTT and part inspired by the leek and lemon I have waiting for me to use them. Or quinoa and black bean burgers with guacamole- I also have a very ripe avocado that is begging to be eaten. One will be tonight's dinner, one tomorrow's.

QOTD: probably pb&j or my mom's signature dish- cheesy tuna pie. It tastes better than it sounds. I haven't eaten it in years - since the only person in the world who makes it is probably my mom - but thinking of it brings back lots of childhood memories.

    A & K, married 7/1/13.

After 10 months of ttc via medicated IUIs and two early losses, we finally got our boys- Perfect premie twins born 5/27/14.

  • Ooo. I want @KH826's spinach ravioli.  I love ravioli but my DW is a little ho-hum about it, so we almost never eat it.  Also, I would like the leek and lemon anything, @2momsinCA.

This is like a virtual potluck in my mouth. :)

My sweet and awesome MIL is visiting and she is making a soy-glazed pork roast.  Should be very tasty!

QOTD: This is pretty easy: sourdough waffles with sunflower seeds (put on the waffle iron before the batter goes in), plain yogurt and either honey or maple syrup or jam.  My mom is pretty much a hippy and we ate a lot of things that are much more, um, "crunchy" than most families.  I never ate a take-out pizza until I was a teenager at a friends house.  It was a great foodie childhood.  :)  I should make those waffles this week.

  • I made up a bunch of pancakes this morning, so I think It'll be pancakes for lunch and dinner too!

QOTD: Egg in a basket, my Nana taught me how to make it when I was young and I think of her every time I make one.

  • @cageymack... any chance you can send those sourdough waffles my way? They sound wonderful!
As for us, I haven't decided yet. We might have "crab" tacos or grilled sausages with veggies. I'm really trying to get my LO to eat more choices than being picky.
As for childhood memory? My grandfather's stuffed cabbage! He made them for me a lot when he was still around.. I haven't found anything that "matched" his, even after trying several Russian eateries.. nothing matched up.
  • Oh geez no ideas yet. I'm sitting through a very boring piano lesson atm and looking at this made me realize how incredibly hungry I am! Would love something grilled...like some chicken but know that's not happening. Might be leftover spaghetti.

Just wanted to say how hungry this thread makes me!

QOTW: meatloaf. My dad used to make it.
And chicken salad (chunks of chicken breast, mayo, green grapes, slivered almonds). My mom made that. So good.
    ****loss discussed*****

We're queer. I'm 33, have severe stage 4 endo, and had both fallopian tubes removed. My love ("Manada" on the boards, 32) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tavin and Casey at 21 weeks gestation.

    Our IUIs
with @Manada: IUI# 1-7 (December 2012- September 2013) all BFN. Tried natural, femara, clomid, puregon/follistim, clomid and menopur combo, both the ovidrel and HCG triggers.

IVF #1 my eggs November/December 2013: Cancelled IVF due to poor response

    IVF #2 my eggs/Manada's uterus January/February 2014

  • Leftovers of homemade chorizo tacos. So easy and delicious that makes me think I could make my own ground meat more often.

Pesto grilled chicken, zucchini and noodles. Was quick and easy (mostly compiled from left overs) and yummy. And it was the first meal I cooked since last Thursday - not sure I should be celebrating that or trying to get back on bed rest :P

QOTD: Rouladen, a german dish my mom used to make.  Though I rarely have it.

I ended up going to Potbelly and getting a turkey sandwich and a coffee milkshake. Mmmm. Of course, I felt horrible after. :(

QOTD: Steamers and lobsters. My mother loved both of them and being from Maine, she ate them when she could (after she'd moved to the south!) I am not really a fan, but will eat them.  They just remind me of my mom, who died 3y ago.  And there is a BBQ sauce from a restaurant in my home town that I grew up eating. I found in the grocery store here (grew up in GA and now live in MD) a few years ago and bought it. OMG. It made my house smell like my childhood. I haven't found it since. :(
