Last week there was a post about some of our babies still not being heads down, and what people were thinking of trying to help baby flip, whose baby had flipped, and any concerns that anyone had. I had suggested a check-in in case people wanted to keep talking about it. I figured I'd start it today, and if there is interest I'll post again next week. If not I'll just let it drop.
I was doing one of the exercises from Spinning Babies, and at the end of last week I felt what I thought was her flipping. All of a sudden I had more jabs up high (as opposed to just her head moving around) and I felt hiccups down low. Yesterday I got the confirmation with an ultrasound that she had flipped.
Has anyone else had any success? Any concerns?
Re: Breech Check-In
I haven't done too much to try to flip her. Just trying to wait it out a little and will worry when I know I have more to worry about.
I'm with otter, I'm not sure what position he's in right now. I'm meeting with my midwife tomorrow, so hopefully she'll say he's flipped.
I haven't started with any of the inversions yet, and have been relying on DS1 talking to this little one down low rather than up high and playing music.
*fingers crossed*
@tdonatoni, I had to look moxabustion up. Do you do it, or is it a part of your acupuncture sessions?
BTW, I always stop to look at your siggy pic whenever I see it. Love it.
Honestly I'm not attempting to turn them. I don't feel really comfortable with it and there is still time for them to flip. The hard part is that when one completely flips the other one tends to do the same. They just like their little ying yang positions I guess!
For me it's been easy to tell their positions, maybe because I have limited room in here? When they're head down I don't feel for their heads, I feel for their bony little knees. When they're breech I feel for the heads, which are usually crammed right under my ribs!
Going for US next Thursday. If she is still breech we will schedule a c section for the week before I am due.
I personallyso not want the manual flipping. Too many negatives for us with that.
To all the ladies with malpositioned LO's, keep us updated- did baby flip? will you be doing an ECV? c-section?
I think I may go the ECV route. If it's going to be a c-section if they try and it's not successful or they don't try at all, I'd rather try first. I have my bi-weekly appointment later on today and plan to talk to my midwife about it.
Kinda hoping the little bugger flips on his own though.

Update: u/s at my appt today confirmed LO is still frank breech, and I am not a candidate for ECV with my anterior placenta. They will be scheduling a c/s for my 39th week. If baby decides to flip on his own, the c/s will get cancelled.
