Bragplaint..dd woke me up this morning by putting her backpack next to me and saying "I go school now". If it weren't 4am, it may have been a brag only. Sigh.
On Sunday, I was doing the last load of laundry for the weekend upstairs. DH was downstairs with DS. We also have one toilet downstairs and one toilet upstairs.
DS climbed half way up the stairs and was telling me he needed to go potty. I rushed DS to the downstairs toilet because his toilet seat was downstairs. I was yelling for DH to help me get DS set up. We got DS set up and DS was on the toilet a good 15-20 minutes pooping.
DS1 has gone up 1 bite on each food this week for his feeding therapy, even scrambled eggs which he has had trouble with! He's on 5 bites of green bean now, so if you add up 5 bites for 4 rounds, that's like 2 whole green beans every day. He will probably master out bread today and then we can try a more interesting starch. Last night he wanted to try a tortilla chip. He hasn't tried one of those in probably a year. He liked it.
I didn't think I was going to have a brag this week because DD is having a really rough week. She had a huge anxiety attack about computer lab last night before bed, and she almost missed the bus this morning because she was so disorganized.
Her class is making a book about Spring in computer lab, and she can't get her picture to look the way she wants it to. Last Wednesday she was in tears when she got off the bus. Since then I've been having her practice using the mouse more because usually she uses a touchpad or the iPad, but last night she had a 20 minute meltdown about how bad she was at computer lab. I talked her through it, but I wasn't sure if anything sunk in.
I guess talking it through did help her even though I didn't feel like we were getting anywhere last night. She said she tried drawing her violets a different way and it worked. She was in a great mood when I picked her up today, which is rare for a computer lab day
DS1 is offically walking. We've been using the stroller less and less!!!
And friday i had to take DS2 to get vaccinated, with DS1 in tow. He sat in the stroller and played Ipad happily. Last time he accompanied DS1 he absolutely freaked out thinking it was his turn.
DS1 isn't pointing or talking but he's doing a lot of leading. He will grab my hand and take me to what he needs. He pulls me out to the door if he wants to go swinging, or he pulls me to the kitchen to eat. Or he pulls me to a toy to play with him. It's amazing.
To my boys: I will love you for you Not for what you have done or what you will become I will love you for you I will give you the love The love that you never knew
DS1 decided to potty train himself yesterday! For months w have been asking him if he wants to sit on the potty before bath. On Saturday he actually peed for the first time! Yesterday after school he decided he only wanted to pee on the potty. He hasn't peed in a diaper in 2 days! Tomorrow he will go to school in underwear for the first time! I am in complete shock! I never dreamed it could be this easy. Now he just needs to poop on the potty!
DS1: 4/15/2011

Re: Brag Day Wednesday! (5/7)
The kid was so stinkin' proud to hold "his" baby.
DS climbed half way up the stairs and was telling me he needed to go potty. I rushed DS to the downstairs toilet because his toilet seat was downstairs. I was yelling for DH to help me get DS set up. We got DS set up and DS was on the toilet a good 15-20 minutes pooping.
We cheered DS on!
What a typo. ><
Feeling tired, thanks for asking, but otherwise fine. I forgot how much they forego sleep for eating at this age.
