I just went to the Fred Meyer and ready to pay for my stuff when the cashier asked me when I was due I told her on august and she replies aren't you a little bit big already for due on august.
Ugh DHs sister said something similar to me last week. I promptly responded with oh are you a doctor now? Don't people learn you should never say something like that to a pregnant girl!! Crazy!
Um, I can't believe you didn't say anything! I totally wouldn't have been able to hold back. No matter what anyone thinks, there is apparently a little person the size of a cantaloupe in there (that is what week I am on). That is really big when you think about it. She is a twatwaffle.

People are clueless! I've amazingly only had one stranger ask what my due date was. I told her and she looked at my belly in astonishment. I said, "it's twins." She literally let out a sigh of relief. I can't blame her though, in my case.
Girl, I feel you. People have been saying this to me for weeks now. Even pulling the "yikes" face. It's not ok and I am not sure when people are going to get that these types of unsolicited comments aren't appropriate. Goes for the opposite too - "Oh you're so small!" Everyone carries differently!!
@Rannndi So when people ask "Are you sure it's not twins, " how fun is it to say "yes, it is?" And how do people do react? Apologies for the hijack OP--you have my sympathies. When this happens to me I think I'll try the Carolyn Hax "really?" accompanied by raised eyebrows and disbelieving expression--which I'm sure would go right over the head of anyone socially clueless enough to say this!
you: "do you need to sit down?" Cashier: what? you: "Well I just figured, it must be hard standing there with one foot on the ground and the other in your mouth"
Is what I would have thought to say after I left the store if she had said that to me. It sounds like the cashier needs a refresher course in sensitivity.

This is what amazes. The large, pregnant chick WITH twins is the only one that doesn't get asked about it! Lol
Ew!! You aren't alone -- when I was PG with DS I went to the pool to swim laps. Lifeguard: "wow I thought you would have had the baby by now!" I was 27 weeks
I have not yet had even one stranger comment or ask if I'm pregnant. Having said that, if and when someone does and is that rude, God help them! I can't believe the number of people who speak before they think!
Screw that lady, I commend you for not giving her an earful! I think you look great!
Wow what a bitch. I'm a cashier and I mind own business although people comment on my pregnancy all the time. Some lady told me she could tell I was pregnant because my face got chunkier, what the hell! Why would you say that to a pregnant woman?
Re: I want to cry and punch the cashier on the face
Kick her in her twat, leaves a more lasting impression.
