Is there any advantage to being taller(I am 6'0'') with a twin pregnancy???

I am the same height as you and my high risk MD made a comment in the beginning 'at least you're tall'. However, I think it is totally up to your body and height has nothing really to do with it. I know another triplet mom who is short and she carried to 34 weeks!

maybe there is some advantage to your level of comfort- if you have a longer torso- more room for babies.??ya think?

Not for keeping them in I don't think I am short 5ft2in I carried triplets till 35w3d

I don't think there's a difference for how long they'll bake, but my MFM did explain that I'll be more uncomfortable since I'm only 5'0" with an incredibly short torso.

I was thinking more along the lines of comfort levels. I get scared when I read posts about women not being able to walk because they are in so much pain from their twins!

I'm 5'8" with a long torso. I am almost 33 weeks with twins and am still fully functional. Totally able to walk and while uncomfortable still able to do most everything. People are always commenting how I don't look pregnant with twins and how small I am carrying. I attribute most of that to my height and body type.

The pain most are talking about has nothing to do with how tall they are. It's the hormones relaxing the pelvic bones causing horrible PGP. Relaxin causes the ligaments to get loose and your bones basically shift out of place and/or grinds together. Twin pregnancy causes this hormone to release sooner therefore the pain can start sooner making it worse over time.

It sucks no matter if you are 5 feet or 6 feet. Not everyone gets it but a majority do. And it gets worse with each pregnancy.

Meh. everyone says I carried relatively small for twins, and physically my only bad discomfort was all related to a surgery I had at 17w along... and I'm not even 5'4". I think it has a lot more to do with the way your body is put together than your height... but if you've got a long torso it'll probably at least reduce the rib pain/numbness

I delivered at 37w 2d, but that was due to pre eclampsia, not being short

I don't think so but I guess it couldn't hurt

. I'm 5'4" and was never in excruciating pain, just some general discomfort prior to induction at 36,4.

I'm 5'10" and while I was supremely uncomfortable from the pelvic pain I had I was able to work until 33w with no trouble and was still getting around fairly well at 37w when I delivered. I had big babies too. A was 5#13.8oz and B was 8#.8oz. I think my height definitely contributed to my comfort level.

I am barely 5'4" and I am 36 weeks with twins today and they don't seem like they want to go anywhere anytime soon! I worked until 35 weeks and everything has been pretty uncomplicated so far.

All the docs and nurses I've seen seem to think so. I'm 5'11" and have had a very smooth pregnancy except for the past few weeks when pelvic pain has become an issue. I'm also told all the time that I don't look like I'm carrying twins, which annoys me.

I'm 5'7", 28 weeks and very uncomfortable but I was just saying to my husband last night that it's probably a blessing that I'm on the average/tall side because if I feel like there's no room in there than someone who is shorter must be way worse off comfort-wise. Who knows though, because everyone is different.
