So much to take in...

Where do you start with figuring out the charting and temps and ovulations? My head swims when I read all the posts about all of this. Where and how did you start to understand all of this? :-??

    I am starting this month =) Fertilityfriend.com can get you started! They have video instructions and what not I will probably start tomorrow as I started spotting from my Provera withdraw =)

    6/14 (no provera yay!) Clomid 50mg CD5-9  (BFN)
    7/14 Natural Cycle Moving on to RE appt not til 7/31 (BFN)  
    8/14 Plan of action! Moved up to 1500mg Metformin, Femara 3-7 (Trigger canceled due to not big enough follies and holiday weekend) (BFN)
    9/14 7.5mg Femara CD3-7 +ovidrel  (BFN)
    10/14 5mg Femara(3-7) Follistim 75 (7-9) +Ovidrel +TI (last treatment cycle this year Breaking til after Holidays) (BFP! Beta #1 114, Beta #2 364)

    The Fertility Friend online charting course where they send you a lesson at a time was the perfect intro for me, not too overwhelming and I got a pretty good start that way.

    I'd definitely start charting temp and keeping track, maybe on FertilityFriend.com, because you will probably be glad to have that info for as many cycles as you can!

    I charted for 12 months, but then gave it up when we started IF testing.  It looked overwhelming at first, but it's actually very simple.  I will also suggest fertility friend, they have great video tutorials and an awesome FAQ section.  It really helped me to combine charting with the use of OPK's.  Sometimes if I didn't sleep well, my temp would be a little off but as long as I had my OPK data added, FF always gave me a spot on O date.  If you are a mouth breather, you may want to consider vaginal temping.  If you have any questions I'd be happy to do my best to answer!!     DX: Unspecified Ovarian Dysfunction, Long Cycles

    Apr '14:  50mg clomid + ovidrel + B2B IUI #1=BFP,  Natural M/C 6.5wks
    Aug '14: 50mg clomid + ovidrel + B2B IUI #2=BFN
    Oct '14: 100mg clomid + ovidrel + IUI#3 =BFN
    Nov 14: 100mg clomid + ovidrel + B2B IUI#4=slow response, bad lining, cancelled
    FU with RE, more bloodwork: Anticardiolipin +
    Dec 14: 5mg Letrozole+baby aspirin +ovidrel + B2B IUI#4.1=BFFN
    Jan '15: 5mg Letrozole +baby aspirin + ovidrel +B2B IUI #5= BFP!!

    Like pp said FF has fantastic tutorials and the book "taking charge of your fertility" is also great. GL, after a little bit it becomes second nature.

    Yup, fertility friend.  It has tons of information!

    DH: 34  
    Aug 2013 - SA: Counts & Motility = great, Morph = 1%; RE didn't seem too concerned

    Me: 26
    Jan. 2014 - Blood work ordered by obgyn:  Prolactin = high & AMH = low (0.73)
    Feb. 6, 2014 - Repeat blood work ordered by obgyn:  Prolactin = normal & AMH = low (0.9)
    Feb.  20, 2014 - First appointment with RE
    Feb. 24, 2014 - HSG scheduled;  DX:  one tube definitely open & one tube could be blocked
    Mar. 7, 2014 - CD 21 Blood work for Progesterone; DX:  Progesterone level at 5.2; shows I ovulated but was low
    Mar. 28, 2014 - Laparoscopy; DX:  Tubes open.  Found some endometriosis and had that removed.
     
    History:
    Started TTC:  June 2012
    June 2012 - March 2013:  When it Happens/it happens method = BFN
    March 2013:  Started using Fertility Friend
    Cycles 1 - 15 with Fertility Friend = BFN
    Cycle 16 - Benched due to Laparoscopy
    Cycle 17 - Natural Cycle = BFN
    Cycle 18 - Natural Cycle = BFN
    Cycle 19 - Natural Cycle = BFN
     

    Current Cycle:
    Cycle 20 = Natural Cycle

    Thank you everyone. I downloaded the FF app for my phone and played with it a little bit last night. So far so good.

    I resisted FF at first because it was hard to understand. But stick with it and you will get it. It's the only app I use now. Good luck!
