  I head back the second week of June, so DD will start daycare the first week of June to give us a week to transition. I'm nervous about DD heading to daycare but am also excited. I feel like the worst mom in the world right now because I am excited for her to start daycare and for us to have that time apart. I don't know what to do with her all day and I know at daycare will be so stimulating and educational for her. It has also been tough just being the two of us all day everyday and feel like some time apart will be good, admitting this makes me feel like crap. I'm supposed to be sad about being away from her everyday, right?

  Hey there! I head back June 6th and I have been having some major anxiety over it.  I WANT to go back to work I LIKE my job and yet I feel like I all of a sudden want to stay home with him all the time.

  
  

  I am having a hard time with this reality.  Plus I feel like it is a HUGE transition to go from being home every day with your baby to dropping them off at day care going to work and then coming home and trying to balance 'everything else'.

  NLTB are you doing any sort of transition with daycare? DD is going to go 3 days for the first week of June before I start work with I think will help the transition for us (really, me). I know what you mean about trying to balance everything else. I've come to the conclusion that all house chores will be completed after 8pm (when DD is in bed).   I can't even thinking of applying for jobs at this point.. lol. I am so paranoid about daycare. I know I need to start but I will be looking at an hour commute each way plus an 8 hour day = no baby time.. Sniff. I had a contract job so nothing to go back too but I hope to get another one with the company.

  @megsw85 I am lucky my commute is only 20-30 mins so I'm hoping I'll still have a decent amount of time with DD. One of the reasons I keep flip flopping about looking for a different job is because at least I'm close to home right now.

  I go back at the end of june. Im having a lot of feelings of dread over it. I think for me part of it is just not wanting to go back to my job. I also really wish i would have gotten the summer with L before having to go back. I never ever thought i would want to be a SAHM but im really wishing i could. Im hoping once i go back it will become easier and i wont feel as guilty about leaving L.

  Our daycare has these huge windows in the front of the building. I was walking by to pick up A yesterday and I saw her and her little friend L sitting by the window facing each other and playing with a toy together. They looked so cute and happy. I had seen A playing near other babies and alongside other babies, but that was the first time I had seen her playing with another kid. It really reminded me that her being social and learning and everything that daycare provides is so much more important than whether I feel guilty not being with her. She is happy at daycare and is getting a lot out of it. My guilt is my own issue, you know?

  I'm a bit late to the game again but @araziza I just sent a message to my daycare to set up a transition period.  From what it seems like around here they do a 2 hour stretch, then half day, then full day.
