Baby swimsuit season!

Because thinking of me in a bathing suit is gross, and tramatic, I'd much rather think about what adorable thing I'm going to buy LO for her first trips to the beach and pool!

So what have you bought your LO?

Also, what is a rash guard and why do they call it that?

here are the ones LO has: (we are at the beach a lot during the summer and both my sister and brother have pools, so I justify lots of suits, lol)

The pink and white sailor is from Gymboree but it looks like it is not on their site anymore. They may still have it in stores. I got my older daughter this to match:

It is the middle of the night here so no baby model, but I went the swim diaper plus rash guard route. L wears a pink bumgenius pocket diaper with a navy blue rash guard. There are white polka dots on the shoulders and a pink flower on the belly. It's from Crazy 8 but they no longer carry it (I picked it up at Once Upon a Child).

E has a few hand me down bikinis and a one piece that was a gift. I'm thinking bikinis will work better since she's long for her age. I'll post pics when she tries them on! Also, I bought this thing for the pool:

DD was thrilled w her tankini this weekend! Despite that I had a regular diaper on her and it looked all deformed, sticking out of her bottoms, lol. I didnt take her in the water since I dont have any swimmer diapers buts she did relax at the pool w me (under an umbrella!). (Edit to add that I got the suit at BRU, all baby swimwear on sale for $10).
