My mom is having surgery this morning to have a blockage removed from her carotid artery.
She has multiple health issues and is no stranger to invasive surgery.

She's in recovery. The Dr said she did well, but the blockage went farther into her brain than he anticipated. He wasn't able to get it all, but said she will still benefit from the surgery.
