What is everyone currently using? Curious who also has run into aunt flow since labor... I'm just over 6 weeks and I got nothing yet. I went for my checkup and I am getting back on the pill but I don't know if I should start it yet. Doctor said it doesn't matter either way and it's up to me if I want to wait for my cycle to start naturally or just start taking it. I just don't know if it will mess up something that is naturally trying to start on its own or if it will help it along. Anyone else get back on it already? One of my girlfriends who has a 1 yr old said she only got 2 periods within the whole year and wasn't on anything... Thanks!!

We just use condoms and I just started my period yesterday (6 1/2 weeks pp)

Are you EBF? That could effect when/if you get AF. We switched to FF around 3 weeks PP. My midwife said that it typically takes 4-6wks from the time you stop BFing to get your period. For me it was 4.5 weeks after I stopped. As far as birth control we're just using condoms and I'll go back to charting like I did for years before we started TTC. I'm not sure about when to start taking the pill. I'd prob wait until my period came naturally. No need rushing to get that back.

I just started the mini pill and I EBF. I have not gotten my period and I am 8.5 weeks pp. My OB said go ahead and start taking it right away.

I started birth control 5 weeks pp. I was pretty irregular prepregnancy.. Got it every 3 weeks about.. So birth control regulates me. Plus no horrid cramps! I'm on Yasmin because it's the only pill that doesn't make me sick

I'm 10 weeks PP, no AF yet, & I had Paragard put in last week. So far none of the side effects have hit (heavy bleeding & cramping). I'm also EBF so that's a big factor in AF postponing her visit I think. I'm so glad that we only had to use condoms for a short time because they smell terrible!

6.5 weeks since having baby and nothing yet. We are using the same condoms that failed us and made us pregnant with LO. I am scheduled for a tubal may 27th.

Mini pill for me too. I just had my first pp period last week (7 weeks pp). And probably my last for a while since I'm EBF. At least that's how it went when I was EBF DS.

Got my first AF at about 5.5 weeks post partum. Not BF here but still was hoping it would wait! Got my Mirena in at 6.5 weeks and am thrilled. Had prior to this pregnancy for 5 years with no side effects, and hate condoms. Barely have spotted with it this time. Love!

Thank you for the input ladies! No BF for me and still no sign of AF but think I will start back up on the pill... Using condoms now and I Cannot stand them. So it may kick start it but at least we can stop using condoms! Is it weird that I'm kind of excited to see flow? Haven't seen that bitch in like a year...lol I will see how I do on the pill, if it doesn't go well maybe I will look into Mirena, only reason I never did it is bc I have heard horror stories, but mostly from women that had gotten it prior to having kids.

Pumping. First PP period at 6 1/2 weeks.

Not sure what I'm going to do yet. Have a script for the mini pill, haven't filled it yet. Considering Mirena. May just use temping to avoid.

I'm on the mini pill I started it after my 6 week pp check up, today lo is 9 weeks old and I still have not seen AF! We are using condoms as backup just in case, and I EBF, I do have PCOS so I had very irregular cycles, sometimes every 3 months sometimes every 6, so I was on the regular pill to regulate me, but was off anything for a year and a half while TTC.

AF just showed up yesterday almost 8 weeks PP. I'm still waiting for my Mirena to come in. It's been 2 weeks already so I don't know what the hold up is.

I formula feed and I'm on trisprintec and we are using condoms for the first few months being on it. AF came at 6 weeks which is when I began the pill.

I'm getting my mirena this Friday. Gosh those things are expensive, even the insurance isn't going to convert some because it's not a medical reason. But at the same time, 450$ for 5years compare to pills/nuva ring and condoms for 5 years, I think it's worth it.

8 weeks PP tomorrow. I got AF yesterday. (Least I'm assuming that's what it is. Just some light spotting.) condoms for now, although we haven't even used those yet!

I got the depo shot in the hospital and haven't stopped bleeding since LO was born 7 weeks ago. I go in for my iud (non-hormonal) in 2 weeks.

Started my period on the 25th 8 weeks pp. Lasted 5 days. I am not doing BC. Makes me a biotch for real. Has always been this way. We either use condoms, or he just pulls out.

I've had no AF, 9 weeks PP. I BF and FF to supplement. Should I have had AF already? We haven't decided on birth control yet. There is no way I can contemplate sex, I'm just way too tired!
