AshleyA032109's thread about people's crazy responses to her FB posts about baby gear consignment scores. Because we obviously still need a place to share our great finds, and because we don't want to deal with any more "how dare you buy anything baby related until after your shower!!!" comments, here is a safe place to post your best baby related thrift, consignment, or closeouts.

Here are some of my favorite acquisitions from last weekend's Just Between Friends sale in Seattle- an adorable H & M diamond dress, a floral dress from Gap (I think), some sort of fancy organic baby kimono, and a cute onesie from Old Navy. In total, I wound up with 14 items of clothing and I spent $50.37. Score! (note: posting picture because photo attachments aren't working today for some reason. Bummer).

I bought a bassinet for 20 bucks at a consignment store! I also have been given a moby wrap, bumbo, two activity mats, and a rock n play from my aunt for her granddaughters. So basically everything has only been used when as watched the girls!

I got a bunch of clothing before DD was born at consignment sales. This time, we found a Phil&Teds promenade stroller in great condition on craigslist for $250. They're normally $600! Now to find a deal on the second seat...

I got all of these outfits for $50 at the Little Britches consignment sale a few weeks ago! In here is a Janie and Jack outfit, a Lilly Pulitzer bubble, a Polo dress, and a couple others that would have been pretty pricy, as well as a couple things with tags still attached. I was proud of myself

Excuse our storage area for baby items, but we got all of this for $375. In case you can't see it well- 2 double strollers, 4 infant car seats (Chicco Keyfit and Graco Snugride 30), 6 bases, and the Graco Twin Pack n Play. Couldn't pass it all up for convenience sake of having two.

Amazing!!! Did you go to a twin sale? One of my good friends has identical twin boys and swears by these sales! She showed me some pics of the last one she attended, I couldn't believe how much stuff there was there.

I want to check one of those out so bad!!! We actually just lucked out with family friends that have multiples and we're getting rid of their things. They ended up giving us garbage bags full of their multiples clothes too for free, but I didn't include that. Sometimes people are amazingly generous!

This past weekend, my husband and I scoured the consignment stores for a dresser/changing table for our little guy's cowboy nursery. On the fourth store, we found an awesome dresser and haggled it down to $100! It's an antique Oak dresser that looks like it's been painted and stripped a couple of times before -- makes it very rustic. It has crystal nobs, which I love, but I don't know that they are the most appropriate for a little buckaroo, so I'll likely change those out for Texas star pulls.

After cleaning it a little, re-securing some of the loose nails and screws, we got it in the nursery. I found some cute contact paper at Big Lots and I used that to line the drawers.
