Period on Progesterone?

So my OB's office just called and said looking at my chart, as crazy as it started out, it looks like I O'ed on CD15. (around when I thought as well with other O signs). That's all they said, then they were going to hang up, so I said, wait, am I doing a beta or home pregnancy test? She was like, well you can test CD28 at home (on CD26 now), and you should have your period by CD35 if not pregnant. So I said, how can I get my period on progesterone- just stop it of I get a negative? She said you should still get your period on it & then stop when you do- HUH? I have taken progesterone several cycles with trying with DS & NEVER got my period on progesterone. Can this even happen? Please advise, thanks!

I have been getting my period on progesterone

So I know it can happen. But I would also probably just stop taking it if I didn't have a BFP by 14 dpo.

I got my period last cycle on progesterone 12dpo

I'm on the crinone gel in the am. My RE said to take until 14dpo or BFN.

I don't actually start my period on Progesterone, so if I have a negative test 14dpo I stop and then wait for AF.

I take the same dose I did last go around 200mg vaginal pills 2x's/day. I never got my period on it, who knows this time. I just never thought it was possible.

I'm like designer303, mine doesn't come until I stop PIO shots- BUT I know a lot of ladies with bleeding despite progesterone, not uncommon at all

I always got my period on progesterone, but it does delay it for some people. What is your typical cycle length or LP? If you do not have a + by say 14dpo, I'd say it's safe to stop the progesterone- you can confirm that with your OB, but it's very uncommon to have an LP longer than 14 or maybe max 15 days, and not be pregnant.

This is my first medicated cycle this go around, so not sure cycle length yet. If not medicated, it could go from 35-60 days- that's why I was put on med because no one knew when/if I was ovulating. Now, when I was on the meds with DS, my cycle was around 30 days.
