GTKY : What do you have left to do to prepare for baby?
Those with an outside baby, how is it going?
Symptoms? Having the night sweats which are no fun
Upcoming appointments? I had my two week check up yesterday and was cleared to drive - yay! Still have to wait another two weeks before I can pick up DS. I have another appointment in four weeks.
Rants/raves? Just trying to work through the two kid logistics. Trying to help DS continue to adjust.
GTKY: Things are improving day by day with DS' s adjustment. DD is doing well...Eating like a champ and gaining weight well. No complaints here...just working out having two kids.
Symptoms? insomnia continues

Rants/raves? Rant, getting nervous to have my family in-law in town for 2 weeks during my maternity leave. i want them to see the baby but they will be staying with us. feels like too much all at once for em.
Raves, Enjoying playing with my DS as an only child for a few more weeks.

Mentally prepare for having two boys! the nursery is set up, all is washed and ready to go.

Super swollen hands and feet. I feel like I'm always walking on pins and needles!

Rant: I have a bunch of Facebook friends who have babies due in August/September and they all keep posting pictures of their newly purchased cribs and how great they feel and I'm over here trying to not scream GTFO!!
Rave: my last box of baby items should be delivery this afternoon.
GTKY : What do you have left to do to prepare for baby?
I need to screw in some new dresser knobs I bought on Etsy. Then it's just sit and wait and I guess put away everything in the box when it gets here.
Symptoms? I've been short of breath since this weekend. I was so short of breath I had to prop myself up on pillows Saturday night just to sleep. My hands and arms keep falling asleep. First, it was just after sleeping, but now it's happening throughout the day. Today I'm having what seems to be painful contractions - nothing timeable or regular. My back hurts too. I am miserable.
Upcoming appointments? I just had a weekly appointment yesterday. The nurse and doctor both said all of my symptoms are perfectly normal and the baby's heartbeat is great.
Rants/raves? Rant: It's been a rough few days and I feel awful today. I'm working from home and trying to rest in between conference calls. I have a presentation to give this afternoon, otherwise I'd take the rest of the day off. Rave: My best friend from college and my Mom surprised me on Sunday afternoon with a Sprinkle! I totally didn't expect it, especially since DD is just 2 and my sister and Mom threw me a big shower before DD was born.
GTKY : What do you have left to do to prepare for baby? I'm amazed to say that we have finished getting almost everything ready. We just have to go to a car seat station either this week or next to get the seat checked and the paperwork signed, which we have to show at the hospital before we can bring home DS. I'm finishing up freezer meals by this weekend. We are ready!
Symptoms? My left foot/cankle is so enormous it looks like a cartoon. Oh, and my entire body is almost impossible to move or pick up anymore. I am seriously like a beached whale.
Upcoming appointments? Thursday... I have been 1 cm for like 3 weeks now so I'm kind of hoping for anything new at this point.
Rants/raves? Rant: Wow I'm really tired of being at work... and people having last minute emergency stuff for me to do. Also tired of waiting for this baby to get the f out of my body so I can move again. However, I'm scared to death of giving birth. Rave: The presentation I was going to have to do on Friday got canceled. Also, my MIL is paying for a maid service to come clean my house tomorrow. I am so excited I could cry.
GTKY : What do you have left to do to prepare for baby? Got to get as much clutter as possible picked up this evening before the maid service comes tomorrow. Still need to finish a coat rack I have been fixing up and hang some things up on the walls in the baby's room. DH is man-nesting and going project-crazy lately and is mid stripping/sanding/staining the deck right now.
Upcoming appointments? Done! Well, for six weeks anyway.
Rants/raves? Rant: I miss being able to sit easily. And haha, 17 hour labor!
