Ya know when you go to the OB's office and you get your urine tested? Well for the first like 4 appts I thought that they were testing to see if I was pregnant. I was getting all offended and being like "WTF - do you think I'm stupid?!"
Well yes. Apparently I am.

When I was 19 I won a radio call-in contest for a chance to ride one of those tower-drop rides at our local amusement park until I couldn't hack it anymore. I was one of four people. The first two dropped out pretty quickly. Another guy and I rode it 46 times before the DJs got bored, and I fell asleep on the ride. They gave us both season passes for 2 to the park.
I once sneaked backstage to meet Big Daddy Weave & Jeff Deyo by blending in with a youth group that was doing a drama at intermission. They were wearing black shirts & jeans. So was I. I just melted in with them & then eventually separated from them when they went onstage. I got pictures with both Big Daddy Weave & Deyo. :P
I was once questioned by immigration officials at the border for about 20 minutes and I believe it was because my hair was bleached orange/blonde (really bad high school hair decision). They finally let me go when the realized I really was who I said I was
I have 5 chickens- Alvin, Simon (named by my nephews), Polyanna, Ethel, Penny**
2 roosters- Cornelius and Elmer.
We inherited a fish from the Pre-K/Kindergarten teacher when she left last year. He came with the name Noodles but DD changed his name to Dorothy (like on Sesame Street). Sometimes he's called Dory since she's been into Finding Nemo lately.
And lastly, a one-eyed schnauzer named Benjie!
**Side note: Simon died in an owl attack 2 years ago, she was all black. We got another chicken that was black and white striped and I just told my nephew that Simon grew stripes, since she was a chick when we got her, and he hardly ever sees them. So really, Simon is Esther!
DH is gone nearly every other week for work. He's a CPA and audits clients mostly out of state. Hardly anyone outside of immediate family is aware that he travels cuz I'm so paranoid about people knowing that I'm home alone with DS.
When I was 9 (winter of 1994) my older sister double dogged dared me to stick my tongue to the metal pole in our backyard ( slide). I didn't see the big deal so I was like sure no biggie. Yes it got stuck and to this day I still can't feel the tip of my tongue lol
I have left turn anxiety. And I don't like to go straight through a stop sign. Once I'm on the road, turning left isn't that bad, but I'd rather a left turn lane and/or signal. I have turned right, then left, turned around, and then turned right again in order to avoid a busy left turn from a stop sign. Congested area problem? Maybe, it has been better since I moved to the farmland area of the state.
I'm the first to admit that I hate driving, and am probably not the best driver out there. When I turned 17 I had a hand me down car in the driveway and no desire whatsoever to get my driver's license.
When I got married I didn't see my location, decorations, try the food NOTHING until the rehearsal the night before. The only thing I had any input in was my dress, husbands suit and I made my own bouquet. (Brooch bouquet made with family heirlooms). My mom and best friend picked out and planned everything from dinnerware to the DJ. It was perfect and beautiful and I was able to enjoy every second because I wasn't stressing.
My DH and I were engaged to be married August 2013 (and had already booked and paid for our entire wedding), but then he was laid off in March 2013 because of a restructuring at his company (they fired the CEO and laid off tons of people). He's Canadian, so we had to get married asap so he didn't have to go back to Canada. We got married two weeks later. We still had the reception in August because that's when all of our friends and extended family could attend, but our little last minute wedding ended up being such a fun, meaningful experience. Here's a photo of us cutting the cake that our friends jokingly got us with the Canadian/American flag on it.
I can take stuff apart no problem and can do any reverse action in any kind of vehicle, even reversing around an obstacle in a truck with no rearview mirror.
Ask me to solve a kids puzzle and I'm baffled - unless I can do it backwards.
I'm weird about my dairy products. I was at my best friend'd house when I was younger and her mom made us oatmeal with milk and she didn't realize that the milk had gone bad. I took one bite and I couldn't finish it. I stopped drinking milk after that. I will use milk in my cooking and what have you. But for me to drink a glass is a no go.
Now, when I am around dairy products I didn't buy, I don't indulge. If I didn't buy it and can see the date on it I won't touch it.
This also leads to once the date on the package has expired and I know the product is still edible I will not touch it.
My brother is three years older than me. Once when I was probably about 5 years old or so, he told me that he saw a commercial on TV that taught you how to fly, and he wanted to teach me his ways. I was like, AWESOME! and he took me outside. I stood on the retaining wall at our house and he had me flapping my arms and jumping off the wall and all sorts of other idiotic things. He finally told me that he made it all up and there was no TV commercial, and I screamed at him, ran faster than him to the front door, slammed it in his face, and locked him out. Revenge was sweet that day.

The tip of my second toe on my left foot is permanently broken. When I was around 12 or so my sister started running backwards while I was walking behind her and managed to break my second and third toes, which were webbed at the time. The second toe broke in the middle and was rammed into itself. I didn't go to the doctor so I didn't know how bad it had been broken until a couple years later when I caught the corner of the table with that toe and it popped it out. Now when I go swimming I can feel my toe moving.
Since this week seems to be "weird thing" week...
I have a horn. About 8 years ago, I started to feel a lump on my skull, on top of my head. They did all the tests and said it was just a bone deposit. It doesn't really show, but you can definitely feel it under my hair.

I will not use black garbage bags. I think they are already dirty. They have to be white.
If you bring black bags into my house, I will kill you. Only dead bodies go in black bags.
