Tightness/skin stretching feeling

Hey all, how are your bodies adjusting to getting bigger? I have this pulling feeling at my upper bump, (both left and right sides) which doesn't cause "pain" but certainly uncomfortable. Positions like backing out of the driveway and the twisted position as I look out my rear window, is an example of when I feel that happening.

I feel so huge (21 weeks) and I can't fathom what's to come! Also I've been having back pain already, something I thought wouldn't appear until week 28/29.

How are you guys feeling thus far? Any stretching / pulling skin feelings? My DH gives me wonderful massages for both my feet and back; something I wish he could do 24/7. Any position suggestions, stretches, or pillow arrangements that gives relief?

Backing up and twisting to look out a window while driving has been challenging for me for a few weeks now too. It's like my body tries to turn but the bump won't follow suit. Just today I was thinking that I might not be able to drive at all by the end! As far as back pain, I've been to the chiropractor twice since 22 weeks which has helped a ton. This weekend I bought one of the little wedge pillows to go under my bump to help with the pulling feeling in my lower back. (I'm 25w3d if you're on mobile.)

Yup, been feeling that stretching for awhile! Even with DD I had the feeling, but it wasn't as early or as persistent. My back's been killing me, too, and my hips and, well, pretty much everywhere... It's all par for the course. (I'm 28w4d if you're on mobile btw.)

Honestly, I haven't found anything that's helped. If your belly is itchy you can try a cocoa butter lotion. I find keeping my feet up helps with my hip/back pain, or there's times I just need to lay down and that's the only relief I get. In bed I use a Snoogle, but I can't tell if it's totally been helpful unfortunately. It was great pregnant with DD, but I don't know if it's cutting it now. Good luck!

28w4d. I've felt the skin stretching for a while now. It kind of comes and goes in phases, as if my skin just gives up resisting and slackens and then it starts to tighten up again... which sounds way more gross then the relaxed stages feel. Now, I'm usually like a cat in the morning, in that I lay there and stretch for a few minutes before getting up. I have had to abandon this little habit, as it started hurting too much if I stretch backwards at all. My hips are my main painful spot right now... my right knee is starting to join the party. I totally blame the stairs.
  • I'm 24w6d and having skin stretching pain on my upper bump for about 3 weeks- right below my breasts. On the right side it sometimes hurts so much it feels numb or burning. No back pain yet, except my gallbladder. I use cocoa butter and shea butter on my belly every night and it helps.
