  Someone mentioned a device called the Latch Assist by Lansinoh. Instead of pumping you use that instead and some seem to find it works better than pumping for popping the nipples out. Good luck momma!

  You have to look up the nipplette! Uh-mazing little doodad. Seriously. I work post partum and have had moms have some amazing success with it. Worth a shot

  Again, sorry for the slow response, between being post Csection, sick and the whole mother thing...  Haven't been online at all! 
  
  Nipple shields are working like a charm, but since I can't get them to stay out for any period of time, I'll probably be using them for the duration of the breastfeeding.  I'm grateful I have a working solution, thanks guys!
