Which spelling do you like best?

I'm not one for going above and beyond for unique name spellings! And I personally think to each their own. I am a FTM and I am really boggled on which way to spell my baby boys' name! I have seen it spelled both ways so figured what better way to include you ladies to get your thoughts...

My husband and I love the name Jackson and are also planning to use it for our little boy!  I think Jaxon is trendy right now, but the traditional spelling is timeless and will serve him better in the long run.

  • what they said. X = trend. No contest! Love jackson though :0)

  • One of my little cousin's names is Jaxon and I am not a fan of the spelling (though I do love the kid!) It's certainly not the worst uniquely spelled name out there, though.

  • I agree with the PP's. Jaxon is too trendy. Just curious whether you considered that spelling because you like the nickname Jax over Jack? I would say you could still name him Jackson and call him Jax if you really wanted, but I agree that Jackson will serve him better as an adult.

@noonandj04‌ yes I mostly liked it for calling him "Jax" and just overall different but I agree with you ladies tradition always outweighs trend!

I agree! I didn't want it to appear like I went out of my way to make it unique because that wasn't the case! @FamousEa‌

As a teacher, I love the traditional spelling of Jackson. You could still call him Jax as a nickname if you wanted to, but I love the traditional spelling of names.

@sngsoprano1‌ sorry you're over it but it is the name I have selected. If you don't have a vote for spelling preference then thanks anyway. Many names fit the taboo for the year however mine has more meaning other than just popularity. Thank you ladies for your input I agree with the traditional spelling as well! ;)
  • Traditional spelling all the way here.

Ds's name is Jackson, we didn't want to call him jax for short that's what made us lean toward Jack

Edit: sorry I just read you like the nick name jax, a girl I know has a son name Jackson and when she writes about him on Facebook she calls him Jacks

You can still call him Jax and even spell it that way. I am traditional, but I like the old spelling of names anyway.

I am also a fan of more traditional names & spellings. So my vote is Jackson!
