For me it has been Mambo #5...for some reason it just drives me nutso. But lately, that Happy song has been getting stuck in my head and moving up my list.
I may not have the right title names for these, but:
-You Had a Bad Day
-You're Beautiful
-Home (that Phillip Phillips song)
I know there are more, but those are just off the top of my head.
I refuse to listen to that one because I honestly believe that song will make you have a bad day. I am not superstitious but after a few too many bad days when that song was being played on the radio solidified my feeling. I won't even listen to it for a minute. Nope.
Daughters - John Mayer - it creeps me the fuck out
Fat Lip - SUM41 - I don't like the abortion part of the lyrics. It just pisses me off. Not cute.
I used to hate this song, but it was a lyrics flub. Now I like it and think my alternate lyrics are funny.
Lose Yourself To Dance - Daft Punk - I used to think it said, "Slut, Slut, Slut, lose yourself to dance!" I didn't like the message or inference that women need to be slutty on the dance floor. Then I found that the lyrics actually were sweat and not slut. So different.
I don't hate this song because I like to dance to it. However, I don't like the lyrics, so if I ignore that, we're good.
Blurred Lines - Robin Thicke - I don't mind that the song is sexy or sexual. I do mind that he tried to spin that BS with Miley and failed. I saw him on an interview with the View saying that the song isn't degrading to women at all. It's supposed to be empowering them. Well sir, you're just full of shit. He called out the lyric, "That man is not your maker". Out of context, sure, it sounds legit. However, the rest of the lyric is about getting wasted and doing him instead. That's not empowerment, that is encouraging women to get high, be slutty, and cheat on their partner. This is followed by, "You the hottest bitch in this place" or the oh so lovely radio edit, "You the hottest ho in this place". You can't have it both ways. You can't empower women to be independent sexual beings and then go and call them a whore. Why couldn't the radio edit have been, chick instead of ho? It even rhymes better than ho.
I could go on and on about bitches and ho's, but I should probably work at some point.
Speaking of Frozen, I really hate the Fixer-Upper song from that movie. I was to skip over that whole scene every time DD watches that movie.
I've never heard this Pharrell song that everyone is always talking about, but I love that man. Maybe I'll go and iTunes it now so I can see what all the fuss is about. (ETA: I just went and searched it out - I've honestly never heard this song in my life, but I can see why people find it annoying. Is it really on a lot? I'm amazed I haven't heard it out in a store or anything.)
I adore Blurred Lines. I don't give a shit what the lyrics are, that song makes me want to shake my ass.
@SusieBW and @dorothyzbornack97: I did love his old stuff. " Baby you want me, well you can get this lap dance here for free!"
Thanks ladies for sharing! Many of the songs you mentioned are also on my "no" list. It also makes me think of another tread topic but that I might save for tomorrow!
I really like Happy. I don't listen to the radio though (just my own tunes), so maybe that's why I don't hate it. I was sent the 24 hour video and thought it was awesome. I also hadn't even heard the Blurred Lines song until the internet was all a-buzz about the VMAs, which I also didn't watch because I don't have cable. I could imagine both of these becoming annoying if they are on every hour on the hour.

I can't stand that wrecking ball song from Miley Cyrus and it plays all the time at work, which I think is inappropriate at a bank. Maybe just because I don't like it.
