So I've been having symptoms of pre e for a few weeks now but in office urine sample always came back negative for protein. After my BP being high at the office last week I was sent to L&D for monitoring. Went home after an overnight stay. Did my 24 hr urine collection. Fast forward to today. 37wk check up and supposed to get urine results. Apparently the lab couldn't get a count. So OB decided since I'm showing pre e symptoms more and bp high again she sent me back to L&D and called the MFM here. They've decided to induce me.
So now here I lay in a bed with magnesium and pitocin hooked up, cathater in (that sucks! Cause I feel the damn thing!!), and compression boots on. So much for wanting to labor at home and walk around

looks like Amelia will make her appearance tomorrow they say! For now I'll entertain myself with TB and see if I can catch up on any crazies!
ETA: sorry this took so long to get back to. But having a newborn now you ladies understand there has been little time for anything other than her lately!
So after I posted my OP I got the epidural around 10pm (which I thought would hurt more, but the Dr was amazing!). After that they kept upping my pitocin. Around 4am my OB came in and broke my water, I was 3cm. At 6 she came to check me again, I was 6cm. By 7 my nurse was doing my vitals and my contractions were really intense. She decided to check me herself and asked if I felt like pushing (HELL YEAH I DID!!!). She let me try one good push and said she'll be right back, she was gonna get someone to take my catheter out. Within the few mins she was gone I was screaming for someone to come back in (poor DH didn't know what to do!). Of course because I had to be THAT patient who delivers in the middle of shift change they were all at the nurse station handing off patients. When they noticed DH saying I was gonna push without them a bunch ran in. Dr followed in a few mins later. At 7:32am little Amelia Grace came into the world with a good scream. She was 6lbs 14.5oz and 20" long. I only had a very slight tear and about a stitch or two. I had to stay on the magnesium for another 12 hrs and was on bed confinement (WORST part of all that was the bed confinement!).
Amelia and I are doing great now. She's a little jaundice but Drs let her come home with me. I'm pumping (she doesn't want to latch, still deciding if I'm gonna push that issue soon when she starts being more alert. Being a little early and jaundice Drs said she'll be a little more sleepy than normal and it's normal for her to not want to latch). I'm still being monitored for pre e. Had to go back into the ER Thursday night (same day as my discharge). Had an insane headache, seeing spots, sudden feet swelling and BP was really high at home. Other than that we're great. Hope all you ladies are doing great!!! I'm not sure how much I'll be on here, though I try to peek in sometimes. LO isn't always liking sleep at night and I always end up finding something to do during the day instead of trying to nap like I should be.
Good luck ladies! And sorry this got long... Bless you if you read all that! haha
