  Add another who thinks you should go ahead and call. I have paragard, and while I haven't had it long, I've always been able to find the strings.
  It's better to call and find out what they want you to do. The fact that it's bad enough that you can't lift Mira worries me.

  Thanks ladies. I never bothered to get an OB here in GA and I'm not sure if my primary care does after hours . I feel a little better bc I've been resting and using a heating pad. I'm going to call the primary care office in the morning and see if I can reach anyone to see what they recommend. I do still have my appendix but I definitely think it's either cysts or most likely IUD related bc the pain was in my pelvis area.

  Yes, definitely could be the IUD. I had similar symptoms and it hadn't necessarily migrated as much as it had turned sideways and one arm was sticking through the cervix. Very painful but fairly easy to get out under ultrasound guidance. My OB and I joked that it was too bad she had to go "spelunking" through my vagina and cervix to get the sucker out! Hope you're all better soon! I went on the pill after.

  I didn't feel flu like symptoms at all and didn't have an upset stomach other than my general stomach and pelvic pain due to it. I think I'd call a doctor as soon as you can and get it all checked out!

  Stress????? FWIW, I have found the strings kinda balled waaaay up there, so that's a possibility.

  So I'm at urgent care now. I called my primary care who informed me that they don't "do" IUDs so I needed to go to an OB. They gave me 2 ob numbers and both offices told me they didn't have an ultraound tech on today so they couldn't help me. One of the offices told me to call urgent cares and ask if they have an ultraound tech. Found one that does and here I sit. So frustrated bc DH is an ultraound tech and yet couldn't find a job here. Well maybe the OB offices need to hire some more ultrasound techs. Also the urgent care said they can look and see what's going on but may need to refer me to an OB depending on what they find.   Okay so I was at urgent care from 10:45 til 3:00..and they did an ultrasound which showed my IUD is in a normal place..my pelvic exam I had pain in a couple spots. The dr thinks I may have had a cyst rupture or one that is leaking because both ovaries have cysts on them and the right one has a large one. The dr offered a CT scan to rule out appendicitis but the ultrasound showed a normal appendix so I declined. The pain is more crampy feeling now with occasional sharp jabs so I really think it could have been a cyst rupturing. 

  DH thinks I should have the IUD taken out since ST has been painful since Mira was born..He also mentioned wanting to try for #2 but I want to wait til next summer so I'm hesitant to take it out.plus I have awful periods and haven't had to deal with that since I got the IUD..
