Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Bumpy face:-/

I've Googled like crazy so I'm guessing it's just baby acne. However I'm so paranoid, & I hate seeing my beautiful 1month look less than perfect. Any sxperience ladies??

@-) Relax. Seriously, what a silly statement.

You can treat baby acne (and adult acne) with breast milk.

  • Thank u I'll give it a try & see what happens by Monday.
  • My son had baby acne for the fist month, it goes away on it's own. He's 6 weeks now and it's pretty much gone. I just kept his face clean by simply washing his face with warm water a few times a day, or if he got any formula on his face I made sure to clean it right away. I know I was frustrated too, he was peppered with pimples and I felt so bad, the baby doesn't care though! Good luck :)
  • It's just beginning to be an issue for my baby, and she's just over 10w old... In addition to this she has eczema! YAY!   :(  we're doing a combo of moisturizing and the doctor called in a script for her.  But I second the breastmilk--I've read it can cure all sorts of ailments.

Mine is almost 7 weeks and we just discovered that he also has eczema.. Poor sweet baby skin! Agree with the breastmilk idea though.. it's a miracle cure-all!

  • My son had pretty significant baby acne. He's almost 7 weeks old now and his face looks MUCH better. Still a few bumps here and there. Just wash your baby's face at bath time. And your baby is perfect, regardless of bumps!

  • Thank u her face appears worse now, almost like a burn. The bumps now have a scab head instead of a white head/red head. I've been using the breast milk solution too, so tomorrow I'll definitely take my baby to see a Dr.
  • & FYI @WashingtonQueen‌ my beautiful baby less than perfect statement is whimsical, not silly. No parent wants to see there child look like they are in pain. & I can't imagine pretending that a face covered in bumps or red is what we want our perfect babies to look.

It was a rather silly statement. No newborn looks perfect. Basic baby acne is not painful.
  • Agree to disagree, speak for yourself because I think all newborns are perfect & most do look perfect, well mine does. I took her to the doctors today so with treatment she should be back to her wonderfully, adorable, perfect self:-)

@Mariposa1616 I hope your LOs face is already getting better by the time you read this... what did the doc say? My DS had a terrible drool rash.... after 2 days, it got really red and looked scabbed over.  Doc had us put hydrocortisone on it followed by a layer of aquafor.  We saw improvements in a couple of days and it was completely gone in about a week.  GL!
  • Thank u @flcl I was told it is a case of baby acne gone awry. So I was told to use hydrocortisone & aquaphor as well. It has improved tremendously, now I hope her color comes back because as of now her skin is blotchy & it looks as if she was burned once or has vertigo:-(
  • Baby acne goes away on it's on after a few weeks. Your baby is not less than perfect--it's normal.
