Anyone else suffering from majoy leg cramp through the night, ive tried eating more bananas and upping salt intake and i drink plenty even tried elevating legs through the night but nothing seems to be helping any advise?
I start wildly hitting my husband until he wakes up and stretches my leg out for me. It's actually a long-standing inside joke with us, since it also happened every night of my 2nd and 3rd tri's during my first pregnancy.

oh well will just have to keep persevering with it.
Op...everything you listed u are trying to do is the entire list my OB recommended. I get them frequently and just try to stay hydrated and also stretch...
I just started getting these, and they freaking hurt! I was flipping out and couldn't move my leg the other day and asked husband what to do & he said to step on it(stand up on it-not step on your calf), which he then pulled me up to do. As soon as I did it went away instantly. The relief was amazing.
What was weird was my hand cramped up before anything to the point where I couldn't move it. Anyone else have this? My thumb just locked in place and hurt.
Make sure you are staying hydrated and have enough potassium. Eating a banana a day helps. Also, when you feel them coming on, slowly flex your foot. Sometimes it helps ward off the minor ones.
i drink my 2 litres (water / soft juice) a day probably more in fact, so i dont think i can be dehydration for me but ill up the amount i drink and eat more bananas which i normally have for breakfast.
I have been getting this everyday recently. I immediately get up and lean against the wall with my hands and it goes away instantly. Try that it might help you. I learned this from what to expect when you are expecting.
OH I forgot about these. I got them with DS. I am too early along to get them now. I actually found that breathing and relaxing through the pain to get my leg muscles to relax was a good exercise for relaxing/breathing through contractions. Don't get me wrong, contractions are way worse, but it was still a good exercise
In nursing school they told us many times its related to low calcium levels too. I've been getting them and have been staying hydrated and started to take an extra Ca tab.
I had my first leg cramp two nights ago and my calf is still sore! I was up on my feet for several hours in high heels and hadn't had enough water that day. Before bed last night I did some stretching, but didn't sleep well trying to avoid another cramp!
Make sure you drink lots of water daily and do some stretching before bed. I've only had calf tightness and a few mild cramping episodes so far. I haven't even ate a banana in a couple weeks.
I even do stretching in the middle of the night when I get up to use the bathroom or let my dogs out.

I am drinking water, eating bananas, and I have been semi using the Burt's Bee's Mama Bee Leg and Foot Creme (promote healthy circulation and is quite soothing.)
I'd like to think that doing these things are at least benefiting the process somewhat.
