MTHFR? + update

Well, I think I'm benched.

The original plan was to do a Radiological Hyst and a clomid IUI this cycle. But I was just told not to schedule or do anything until I came in for a follow up consult. And since the soonest they could get me in is Wednesday, and cd3 (which is when I would have started clomid) is tomorrow, I don't think that's happening.

They also got my MTHFR test results back and I have a homozygous mutation A1298C.

Anyone else have a MTHFR mutation?

    That is so frustrating. What do you mean by radiological hyst? Another HSG? Didn't they just do one this past cycle? Why do you have to repeat that if your tubes are open? 


    I know there are a couple with that MTFR mutation, but you might want to XP this on primary IF just because it's a bigger board, you'll probably get more info over there.

    It has to do with blood clotting factors, I think. It can be associated with RPL. People who have it can have issues absorbing folic acid- I think some take extra folic acid and/or low dose aspirin while TTC but don't quote me on that.

    I did have a Hyst with water and air, but they wanted to do a repeat one with dye just to be sure.
