There are several similar ones on amazon called "my first look and find." It says pre-school age, but the searches are easy enough for DD.

Sorry we don't have any little critter books so I'm no help there.

The Usborne phonic reader series

Richard Scarry's book "Care and Trucks and Things that go" has a character called goldbug hiding on every page. His other books might as well.

Goodnight Gorilla has a small mouse on each page. He's not really "hiding" per say, but he isn't a character mentioned in the story. He's just there.
