Both! Sometimes when laying down I can feel a flutter and then I'll put my hand on my belly to see if I can find her again. That's only happened twice so far but I'm sure it will happen more as she gets stronger.
Most of the time I feel her when I have my hand on my tummy, buy not always.
It literally feels like something kicking you from the inside! Like a jolt! I had to have an MRI done and the noise was bothering the baby and that's when I felt him kick for the first time (three times)!
I get the inside wriggles. I wasn't able to feel anything outside for a while with #1, and as I'm much fluffier now I expect it to be even longer with this one.
I was reading through these feeling super excited for all of you and hoping that I start feeling something then a few minutes later i felt 3 rapid flutters on my lower abdomen! I think I felt my baby!
I was getting a little nervous that I'm not feeling much but had my check-up this morning and while she was listening the heart beat, there were a couple of scratchy sounds that she said was the baby moving! I do think I'm feeling little flutters here and there, though, so fun!
It's still early! I think last time I was 18 weeks something when I first picked it up, and even then it was super light. I was shoved up into my desk after lunch time. Even the doc called me an over achiever.

Thanks. I try to focus on it sometimes then every twinge I feel I'm like, WAS THAT IT?! But from what I hear it's a pretty unmistakable feeling.
If that's the case, I can't be certain but I may have felt a flutter yesterday. It is so weird being a FTM and not knowing for sure if it is just a rumble or actually a flutter. Exciting stuff, though!
No flutters for me yet - I get nervous and I go in for dopplers and hear the heartbeat and feel better. My Ob/gyn said likely I won't really feel anything until 20-22 weeks - being my first. We shall see. Glad for all of you feeling flutters.
I swear I have never felt these "flutters." Maybe because I had an anterior placenta last time? But the first time I felt her (around 21 weeks) it was like being tapped or poked from the inside.
I thought maybe I felt something a few days last week but I'm pretty sure it was digestive
Every time I *think* I might have felt baby, a moment later I have to fart. So I'm really not sure yet!
Yeah, me too. Except I turned from my back to my side really suddenly the other night and thought I felt a tapping for a few seconds. That one was not gas, and while I know it's still pretty early to have been the baby I don't know what else it could have been.
I keep concentrating to see if I can feel any flutters, and so far nothing. I'm jealous of the rest of you already feeling flutters. I can't wait to feel my babe wiggle around!
I'm nervous about feeling movement...i kind of picture it feeling like a giant tapeworm wiggling around, and that weirds me out a little.
Yes! I was always a little weirded out by it, although it is also super reassuring. If I tried to tell anyone that I couldn't think too much about it because it was a little strange, I'd get funny looks!

It was actually one of the things I missed most after DS was born. It was awesome and crazy- it just kept me in constant disbelief that there was a BABY inside me! Totally weird at first but then awesome!
Everyone please remember this day when you receive your first cervix punch. :P
DS didn't kick/punch my cervix much, but he did like to jab me in the ribs with his toes...or just rest a foot on my ribs. That gets old pretty fast! :P
I haven't felt anything yet, but I am excited just hearing everyone else talk about it. I do try to push around my tummy to see if I can get a response, but i haven't felt anything yet.
I'm antsy to feel something that isn't gas. I thought I felt something during my massage last week (it was kind if like when my cat head butts me, but it was strangely close to my belly button), but I've felt nothing since then.
I have felt some flutters, but not for a few days. I feel like I felt them a few days in a row but not for the last few. It's making me a bit nervous actually. I don't even know if that was the baby or not. Anyone have them a few days apart?

I'm so jealous of all of those who have definitely felt flutters/kicks and know it's their baby!
Any thoughts on whether this might be baby? When I was almost asleep, my tummy was grumbling, but then I felt one little tap on the side of my stomach. I haven't felt something like that before in general so I'm wondering if that was my first flutter/kick (at 16 weeks and 3 days).

Yes, this! I didn't feel DD until I was 20 weeks (and I am on the smaller side which supposedly means you feel movement sooner) and I am pretty sure I have only felt gas moving around in there this time.

I've been feeling him since this past weekend. It's just a soft little kick feeling in my lower stomach, right at the top of my pelvis, always in pretty much the same spot. I wasn't sure if it was him, but after seeing where he is on my scan yesterday, I know it's him.
Ooh, that sounds like what I felt last night! Good to know that it could be the baby...since I won't be doing another ultrasound until the end of the month (for the mid-pregnancy), I guess I won't have confirmation like you did though.

I feel a little fluttering/wiggling mostly when I'm sitting and leaning forward...which is how I remember feeling first movement my last 2 pregnancies as well. So I'm at work yesterday, having a very serious conversation with an employee, and I start feeling little wiggles---bad timing! I had to work really hard not to smile!!

This was me. In first tri, the thought of feeling the baby actually made me nauseous. Even when I thought too much about where my uterus was, I'd start to get queasy. lol Now, because I know that in the next few weeks I might feel him/her, I'm so anxious/exicited/eager. But at first, I actually felt guilty about how much it grossed me out.
There is just something pretty strange about a living being moving under your skin. Eek. lol

I can't wait to meet my Kenyan-Bajan-American sweet pea.
I called my mom and told her I couldn't feel anything yet, maybe I was thinking too hard about wanting to feel something, she told me I was too fat to feel anything....soo yeah im super excited for the ladies who've got to feel the movement, I'll just be waiting lol
