@Moosesoar  it gets SO MUCH better.  I struggled the first day, but it was all in my head.  Just eat a lot of apples/bananas/0 point filler foods when you are hungry.  I do bananas and 1 TBSP of peanut butter.

No, @JackoftheBox, you get a set amount of "points" per day (I get 26) and then every food/drink you can think of is assigned a point value (fruit and veggies are 0, an egg is 2, etc) based on the fat/carbs/protein/fiber.  You track everything you eat to get to the 26 a day, plus you get 49 "bonus" points for the whole week, so if you have a party or something you could save them and eat what you want within reason, or you can disperse them as you see fit.

It really forces you to ask yourself if foods are worth it and to plan.

oh, and you can gain points when you exercise to "spend" on food.

For real though, for me to actually start on a STOP EATING ALL THE FOOD regime, I need to cut out late night munchies. So I'm hoping to start tonight with finishing up eating at 7. Once I have that down, trimming the size of meals usually starts & then I'm on my way (I've done this before unfortunately.. or fortunately, depending on how you look at it. lol)

That is me too.  I am terrible at overeating at night.  I do awesome all day and take a nose dive after 7 pm.  I will try and stay with you on that one.

I am starting my clean eating today as I did not do the best over the weekend with eating.

But I did run 5k on Sunday! Yippee so pretty proud about that.

I am impressed at everyone doing so well!! I am really going to try and have a good week so I can have a good report for next Monday!

me too!  At weight watchers they recommend going to bed if you have evening munchies...ummmm not helpful!  Although I would get 12 hours of sleep each day.  LOL.

Yea, it's my biggest problem. After we put DS down to sleep, we lay in bed & watch TV for a couple of hours & I always get the munchies... & it sucks because my version of munchies are sweets so that's when I usually have dessert when we have it.  :\">

Have you tried substituting your late night snacks with something healthier, maybe fruits and veggies?

I know its easier said and done. I have a sweet tooth and cant resist chocolate so I know its hard.

Try eating a small bowl of cereal. That usually does the trick for me!
  • @tittsmcgee, I don't like veggies.  :-S
Fruits are a good substitute, I'll have to try that more often.

@jackofthebox, that's also my trick, too.. when I'm really doing good. If I'm just utterly starving, a bowl of cereal helps.

    M&MHaveMyHeart .

Losing weight is reallyreally hard, well for me at least.

DS is 2.5 and I am just now starting to accept the fact that I will never have my pre pregnancy body and that's ok with me.

I am around the same weight I was before DS but its in different places (thighs and stomach) and my clothes fit differently.

I always feel so guilty after eating junk food and I should but darn its so hard to resist.

  • I'm on week 2 of no coffee!! Instead, every morning I make homemade fruit smoothies. Today was plain greek yogurt, almond milk, frozen strawberries, blueberries and mango and a fresh banana. I have also been working out with athletic spanks that causes more sweat while exercising. It's going great!

I lost 4 pounds in my first week of the 8 week challenge I'm doing! No fast food at all (like Dunkins and Starbucks) was huge for me since I commute so much but I think it made a big difference. I shudder to think the number of calories I was consuming in sugary coffee, egg sandwiches, and doughnuts.

Otherwise, I've just been walking and doing weights. I stopped using MFP. Counting calories is too much of a pain in the ass for me so I've just been focusing on eating whole foods instead of packaged things (easier said than done at times!).
HOLD THE PHONE! 4 lbs?!!! WOW keep it up!
