For any of the first-time dads out there....are you getting your pregnant partner anything for this mother's day or are you waiting until the first mother's day after your babies are born?
I have always believed a woman is a mother from the time she learns she is pregnant. So I would celebrate Mother's Day if my wife were pregnant. But my baby is a little over a week old now, so I will definitely be celebrating Mother's Day.
For my wife, we were due early June so we celebrated Mother's Day with her. If she was in her first trimester when there is still a high risk of losing the child.
With our loss, we had bought a "I'm Going to be a Big Brother" shirt as soon as we got a positive but ended up not having it take.
We are due September 2(she's 23 week's). We have two foster daughter's so I'll be doing something with them from them, but I didn't know if I should do something from our unborn baby girl yet. :-/
I would think celebrating is important. I've never thought it should be a big deal but recognizing it is important with a card, flowers and maybe make a nice meal.
