2 year molars

Alex is finally getting his 2 year molars. Poor kid had a hard time though, he's way moodier than usual and pretty obviously in pain.
In addition to that he decided to drop his nap most days. He's having quite a rough time right now, but thankfully he's still sweet and happy most of the time.

Do your kids have all of their teeth yet? Do they still nap? Do you drink a lot? ;-)

Poor Alex! DS has none of his molars, so we'll be in that boat soon enough. I am thinking I will drink a lot when we get there. DS has been cranky enough the last 2 weeks. I need a mommy break

She doesn't have her two year old molars yet but the dentist said they will be in soon.
We are about 50/50 on naps. I make her stay in her room even if she won't nap.
I'm very disappointed in my alcohol tolerance these days. I'm a lightweight and the headache isn't worth it for me, so I rarely enjoy a beverage.

  • I hate teething. Lol. B has most of his teeth. He is working on the molars and just drools and spits and naw on his fingers. His mood has changed and I know its just from the teething. His sleep schedule is all screwy too. I never thought it would be from teething...
    Good luck!!

  • DS got his top 2yr molars back in the fall but the lower ones are just now showing up. He needs / loves his nap. 2-3 hours pretty much every day! I really like wine and frilly drinks but I think I've maybe had 4 drinks in the last year and a half. I get anxious about the whole BFing and drinking thing. Lots of alcoholism in my family as well, so want to be sure to stay the hell away from that.

  • DD was completely down teething at 22 months. She naps 4-5 days a week and I drink a lot. We can't buy wine at the grocery store so DH buys me 6 bottles at a time from the liquor store. I only drink 1 glass a day after I put DS to bed because I am still BFing.

  • DS1's teeth are all set.

We moved him to his toddler bed last week and he has only taken one nap in it, and that was because he fell asleep in the car first and he was sleepy enough to fall back to sleep when I put him in his bed. He really, really isn't ready to drop the nap (he's a crabby mess by dinner time if he doesn't nap) but is so fascinated by the fact that he can get in and out of his bed that he won't lay down to sleep. Soooooo frustrating.

Whether or not I have an adult beverage in the evening seems directly tied to whether or not my son takes a nap that day...

  • DS's 4th molar JUST broke though.  Yipee!  He rarely skips a nap and I plan on holding onto that nap for AS LONG AS POSSIBLE.

As for drinking...I would say DH and I enjoy a few beverages maybe 4-5 nights a week.  I'm trying to drink all the wine before we start TTC #2 in a few weeks/months.

DD has all her teeth. She got her 2 year molars right after she turned 2 and I don't remember them being too hard on her. The eye teeth seemed to be the ones that bothered her the most. She naps really well at daycare (2.5 hours on average) but doesn't nap as well at home on weekends. We usually can get her to sleep for about an hour, maybe a little more. She gets really cranky towards the evening when she doesn't sleep for very long. It makes me very thankful that she sleeps well at school. Our weekday evenings would be awful if she didn't.

My husband has been working out of town a lot during the week, so it's been just me and the girls. I will admit to pouring myself a tall glass of wine after they were in bed a few times last week. In general, I'll have a beer or glass of wine a few times a week. I don't often have more than 1.
