So I wanted to be bottle free by my daughter's 1st birthday (this Sunday), there's no way that's happening. She straight up hates solid foods. I don't know if it's due to teething or what. (she's had a really rough time teething and her teeth are now all coming in at once) I've tried everything I can think of from baby food to her feeding herself bananas... nothing. She won't even eat those little puffs. Every few days she might eat one small container of food, but it's throughout the day rarely is it in one sitting. She loves juice, water and her formula but that's about all. Her 1 year apt is next week and I feel like I'm going to get in trouble from her dr for her not eating solids. I've read food before 1 is for fun but the 1 year mark is closing in fast and I'm at a loss of what to do. I was a very picky eater and have been told my husband was even worse that I was so I guess she gets it honest. Her dr. says to keep offering it to her but I'm getting tired of having to throw away baby food. Any advice would help!
Re: My baby hates food
Just a thought.
I have been doing some research and it seems like a lot of babies do go through phases where they don't want to eat. I know it is awful. I personally feel terrible about it but beyond continuing to offer them food and try to find things they like I am not sure there is much to do. I am going to hang on to the bottle for as long as he needs it in the mean time.
Let me know if you find anything that works.
