Hi bumpies! I have read the previous OB suggestions but those were for a natural birth OB and as much as I would love that I haven't decided if that's the route we will go. I am not pregnant currently but we are pre planning. My husband and I are not necessarily " trying" but we aren't preventing. We live in southern Jefferson county in the "sticks" and our favorite hospital is St. Clare in Fenton. I was hoping someone could give recommendations to OB doctors that deliver there. Also the closer their practice location is the better. I don't want to drive over an hour to see a Dr. if at all possible. My gynecologist was a little over an hour away and I was happy I only had to go annually. I was wanting to do a pre pregnancy consultation to make sure the Dr. that we choose is the right one for us. I don't want a "pushy" doctor that makes me want to go along with what he/she says because they have a degree. I want someone who is open and easy to talk to. I am not the type of person to have a birthing plan because in the end I will do whatever is necessary as long as it keeps the baby and myself out of harms way. I would love to deliver normally but if a C-section is a must then I understand that too. The heath of the baby would be my main concern, as it would be with any parent. As far as an epidural, I like the idea of going without one and doing natural remedies to relive the pain but I don't know if that will happen. I was diagnosed with dysmenorrhea at a young age which is a fancy term for extreme cramps to the point you get sick or pass out. So the fact that the pain from a menstrual cycle does that makes me think I'll need an epidural. There is just so much up in the air, that I am sure I haven't even thought of yet, that I want to make sure I'm comfortable with whoever delivers our future (hopefully soon) child. Thanks for your time!
