Newborn workhorse question

If this LO is anything like A, she'll be almost 8 pounds at birth. I really want to try some workhorses this time around because I really liked my kissaluvs fitteds last time. Should I get the orange edge or yellow edge? (I want the closure free ones if that makes a difference in opinion)

My daughter just outgrew the orange edge at 12 weeks and 10ish pounds. I could still get away with the orange size wise but I bumped her up to yellow for more absorbency.

Calvin was 9 pounds and is wearing orange with and without snaps, but he's had the occasional yellow on, too. Both seem fine. I will take a picture for you next time I change him.

E was 8lbs 10 oz and she wore them for 4 weeks before we switched over to our OS stash - She definitely could have worn them longer than that though. That's just when we switched over to OS and sold all the newbie stuff.

Here he is. 9 pounds 4 ounces last I checked. This is on a little lopsided but I'll think he'll be able to wear it for awhile still. He's a little annoyed because he just got his first bath.

He was 21" at birth but I haven't measured him since. He fits nicely into a 3mo onesie.

I would do the orange ones. We had Simon in his until like 12lbs.

I'm going to be the lonely one to say just go for the yellow. Orange worked on our 8.10 guy for two, maybe three weeks. But I might be bad at the snappi, it's hard to say. I kept trying and wanting the orange to fit longer but we kept having blowouts so we moved up.

He had a yellow on earlier and I didn't take a picture because it was bedtime, but really it looked pretty much the same as the orange. I think it depends how much bulkiness bothers you. I'm always willing to pay a little more for less bulk, especially with something that had resale as good as gmd.

We skipped nb workhorses, just had smalls. LO was 8.15 when she was born. She outgrew nb gmd prefolds im a week and a half, we started using sm workhorses about three weeks. We had to fold down the front but it worked well, she was also a heavy wetter and slept for 3-4 hr stretches and no leaks. She almost 5 months, 14lbs, 25.5 in long and can still wear them.
