I woke up to a nasty leg cramp a couple nights ago, and ever since then it feels like there's still some muscles in my leg that are all tightened. It's not as bad as a full on cramp, but it's always there. Any ideas on how to make it go away!?
I've gotten a Charlie horse in my left calf twice now where it tensed up so bad it took several days to feel better. Icy hot and Tylenol helped but it took a few days. The pain was very intense and woke me up in the middle of the night almost in tears I had to beat on my calf to get it to release. It sucks for sure, HTH.

Maybe I'll have to bust out the icy hot. It was a pretty nasty cramp; hopefully time will fix it!
Unfortunately not sure how to make it go away, but when I've gotten a Charlie horse it has been sore for a few days, too. Only time seems to make it better, but usually like 3 days max I would say.
Sometimes when I feel a cramp coming on (like at night) I start stretching to counter the muscle and it makes it go away. Otherwise my muscle hurts the next day.
Some heat and stretching, or massage with some lavender? Like pp said, some more water won't hurt Hopefully it goes away soon!
@Esbi25 - at least I know I'm not alone! What a pain though!
@ florassecret - I usually can flex my foot to avoid a full on charlie horse at night, but this time it didn't do the trick I never thought about heat and massage though! I'm going to have to enlist DH for a leg massage
If you are a runner or have any distance runner friends---foam rollers are magical and can work out any knots or cramps- you may also want to take an Epsom salts bath too

Definitely not a runner...but the epsom salt bath I can do! Thanks!
