This year is the first Mother's Day with DS, so we made her this mug. *DS is always on the go, so getting handprints on the mug was almost an impossible feat.
My mom is impossible to shop for. I have no idea what to give her. For my MIL I found this cute frame at Ross that says grandchildren fill a space in your heart that you never knew was empty. It has three picture openings which is perfect since this is our third.
I bought mine some Godiva chocolate, Tory Burch flats, and I plan to send her huge box skin care items I accumulated at a recent American Academy of Dermatology Congress. I'm pretty anal about my skin care items so I rarely try new things, but my mother loves variety!
MIL is a bit more difficult. I'll probably customize a Dean & Deluca basket for her.
5 cycles of "TTC" - 3 intentional, 2 not so intentional. 5 BFPs. My rainbow arrived 10/15/14. TFMC 08.02.13 at 19+ weeks. Everyday I grieve for my little Olive.
I'm having blue/white flowers delivered to my mom and mil. That's how they are going to find out the sex of the baby. "Happy Mother's day! I can't wait to meet you. Love, your grandson."
Chocolate covered strawberries and tulips will be delivered to her on Sunday since we'll be away this weekend and won't see her. Not sure what DH has planned for MIL.
These are all awesome ideas! I bought these figurines they're called "willow tree" and they're hand carved and they always represent some moment in your life. For MIL I bought one called grandmother with a baby and a grandma and this is her first grandchild so she's been really excited/emotional about it.
For my mom I bought one that's a mother and daughter called distance and it says no matter how far apart you're still a part of my heart. We're currently 12 hours apart which is the most we've been separate by distance and she's been having a harder time with it since I've been pregnant. So I'm really excited to give them to them for mother's day!
My mom is getting a bird feeder (that won't feed the squirrels - specifically asked for) and a set of copper windchimes - she has a bunch of crappy ones, so we'll replace all of those with one beautiful set. One of our general go-to's for my mom is a Pandora charm for her bracelet. MIL is getting a Pandora charm.
I bought my mom a new cell phone last month when hers got stolen as an early Mother's day gift so I will probably just send flowers. I really don't know what to get my MIL...
Honestly I wish I could shop for myself and get the personalized earrings (with my DD's name) I've been wanting... *blame it on the hormones*
EDIT: As a late Mother's Day gift / early Christmas gift I want to get my mom seats from Candlestick Park before they demolish it... Hopefully I can when I get my bonus next month...
I am just calling both. Both mom's are excited for us. They are also in 2 different states so I would have had to send something by today for it to get there.
My mom is so hard to shop for--she has everything and never wants anything. I was looking at Waterford's website to see if they have anything that she would like. I might just order a pretty Waterford frame for her to put a picture of LO in after she comes. I was thinking about putting an u/s picture in until she gets one of the newborn photos to replace it with.
Kate Spade always has super cute frames too. I'm going to have to shop around online and find one that would look cute for Miss Charlotte's photo too.

Last year we made footprint butterflies for our moms (sorry for the blurry pic):
