I know there's several threads on reflux but I have a more specific question.
My son is on Zantac, Maalox, thickened formula, and Similac Sensitive. He started with silent reflux but lately he's been spitting up ridiculous amounts. I know that meds don't prevent reflux, they only lessen the burn sensation. But when he was on Similac Advance, he was never as spit-uppy. Instead, he would choke on it coming up and swallow it back down

Could this be indicative of an allergy? Or just the evil reflux playing out its course?
I just feel terrible for this poor kid...and I'm planning to contact his pediatrician on Monday but figured I'd see if anyone here has input/experiences.
Thanks!!

@wildhoney4508 I had never heard of silent reflux either! Camden would be grunting and seem suuuupeer uncomfortable then start choking and gagging on the stuff coming up. He would swallow it back down and barely ever spit up. We tried to thicken the formula to weigh it down in his belly which helped a little but we had to add some meds to the mix.
He's definitely not uncomfortable anymore....so I can live with the spit up...and Cam is a chunky monkey so I'm not worried about his weight. I guess we'll see how today goes (better than yesterday!) and I'll see if it's still worth bothering the pediatrician about!
In other news, I think his blocked tear duct is infected. His pediatrician a office is going to love me, lol.
