For those of you mamas who rock baby to sleep when do you plan on stopping that and training baby to fall asleep on their own? Im going to begin to transition her into her crib this weekend and was thinking of attempting to stop the rocking but not sure if it would be too much. First time mom and really now what I'm doing and the appropriate time to stop/ begin new things.
Re: Advice: Rocking baby to sleep
ETA: I never let her CIO, or even fuss much. If I can put her down without the production, I do. If I can't, we snuggle until she feels safe/relaxed enough to sleep.

I'm thinking this time I'll try to break her of the rocking around 6 months. The Ferber method worked for breaking DS and sleep training him so I'm going to try that again. I think it's recommended not to start "ferberizing" until at least 3 months. And yes, the Ferber method involves crying it out, which is controversial, I know.
As for transitioning to the crib and breaking your LO of being rocked, I personally feel that one transition at a time is enough. I'd let her get used to the crib and then try to break the rocking.
