Bored and Waiting

Room is ready. Clothes are washed. Bottles are clean. All the things are put together. Only 8 more days and no sign of labor. This is the first weekend I have nothing planned to distract me. Now I am bored and anxious! Entertain me!

  • I'm in the same boat as well! I've had some contractions this last week but they stopped. Kind of frustrating! We are just doing some would be nice to have done things now. I started my maternity leave yesterday as well and after we get these things done I'm not sure what I'll do with myself next week to keep my mind off it.

Ughhh I'm glad you said something! It is so depressing not having anything to do. Not to mention at this point I feel like a house that can't participate in anything!

  • I hear you. Everyone said you'll enjoy not working. Yes I am liking the fact of not working, but I work to keep busy.

I can only clean my floors and bathroom so many times. And rearrange my closet.
  • 2 days past my due date and going insane from boredom and lack of patience. I made my DH go through model homes today. All the walking and stairs seemed to make baby drop further but no labor.

@florassecret‌ yes! Everyone asks if I'm enjoying maternity leave. Yes, it's good to have the break, but I can only clean so much! I had big plans of working on my yard and planting flowers in our buried pots, but today is the first day in a week (literally) that it hasn't rained/stormed. But then.. Ask me how I spent the day.. Yep, cleaning. Realized I had cleaned all of the window tracks in the house except the ones in our bedroom, then decided I should vacuum the car. Now I feel like I overdid it though, my back has never hurt so bad. :( Oops, just trying to pass time.......
Be careful! I know how you feel, it exhausts me when I keep so busy, but sleep alludes me during the night. You would think all this activity would knock you out. Noppers.
  • 8 days from a scheduled c/s and Ive tried everything to bump it up from naturally inducing labor. The good news is, my house is clean and stocked w groceries. The bad news is, all I got out of it is a major case of cankles and sore hips :((((

Lol who said it had to be work or cleaning? Make plans to go shopping or meet your friends who are working for lunch/dinner. Go to a movie during the day etc. There are many other options to keeping busy than working or cleaning! Fuck, if keeping busy only meant work or cleaning I'd be screwed!
I love my job though, I take great joy in it so its hard for me when I stop working.

We've seen a movie, gone shopping, to baby shows. I'm done some sewing, reading lol. Its like such a weird energy right now for me, like I can't sit still long enough to do anything. I guess maybe its because I felt like life just got so busy for things we didn't do all the time and now thats its done I'm like hmmm.

One thing I should do is some freezer meals.
  • Ohhhhh freezer meals are a great idea to kill time. I'm so in!

  • I'm the same way. I'm seeing it as a time to catch up on a few seasons of random tv shows I've been wanting to watch. Maybe I'll order Gone with the Wind one day.. That movie takes up like 5 hours.

This is why I am still working.  I think I would lose my mind after a day.

I had to stop working in January because of carpal tunnel and a back injury so at this point I'm pretty tired of trying to find things to keep me busy. I'm so useless now it's insane!! I really want to cut the lawn but I know that's an awful idea especially since our front yard is a hill.

Still not willing to induce especially since my husband is working away.... Hopefully the rest of the month starts to fly by...
