Stupid question

How do you Core AND grate and apple? Wouldn't it be pretty hard to core it and then grate it? I have an apple slicer that cores the apple but it obviously slices it too...I've never tried coring and apple without this thing. Is that what it means to do? I'm making some apple oatmeal bars and have to Core and Grate 1 lb of apples.

I'm probably over thinking this but I have a headache and a lot on my mind and this is just blowing it currently.

    If it's the apple corer from Pampered Chef you can core it without slicing it, then I would grate it. Otherwise I would just grate the apple, you can stop before you get to the core.

    Ok..that's what I was thinking. Just grate it until I get to the core. Thanks for uncomplicating an already uncomplicated task lol

    Lol yeah lately that the motto around here too.
    I wondered about peeling it...I just grated the whole damn thing lol ... Except the core ;)
