Pregnant after a Loss

Help! Freaking out!!!

So, I've had tan-ish spotting at 5&6 wks, saw baby at 6 wks and 8 wks, 3 days.. All has been perfect since, until this am. I got up in the middle of the night to pee and when I wiped there was def a little brownish stain on the tp. My head is spinning again! What a start to the wkend! I already have a sono sched for Monday- I should be 10 wks 3 days. I just don't know if I can wait till then. Is it crazy to go to the ER?

Re: Help! Freaking out!!!

  • Yes it is crazy to go to the ER. Try to think calm, positive thoughts. Monday you get to see your baby. Your spotting is not bright red and you're not cramping. Sometimes you just have darker d/c.

  • Remember brown spotting is old blood. If the flow increases, changes to red or you start cramping then I would say you should head to the ER. Until then just try to take it easy and keep your feet up. Will be thinking of you!! Big (((hugs)))! Hoping it is nothing as it was before.

  • I'm sorry you're having this scare. I've been there too! I had spotting at 6 weeks and then again at 13. Both times I was checked out and baby was doing fine. So I agree with the PP's, just try to remain calm! It sucks when this stuff happens on the weekend (and doesn't it always?), because you have to wait until Monday to call/see your doc. Just try to remember that as long as it's brown and not bright red accompanied by cramps, you're probably ok. Hang in there! ((hugs))

I agree with PPs, brown spotting is old blood.  So, unless it turns red with cramping I wouldn't head to the ER.  Just try to relax and good luck at your u/s on Monday!

  • I would not worry if it is brown. Brown usually means old. If you start having bright red with or without cramping then I would worry.

Wait to Monday. I had some pink when I wipes at 7 weeks and they had me wait to the next day to come in for an US since if something was going to happen they would be able to tell better if it was a day later.

I so know it is hard to not worry. I had a Mmc a year ago. So it is so stressful but make sure you go on Monday.
