My mom is planning on having choc. covered pretzels in a little clear baggie with a blue ribbon tied around the top...the shower colors are blue and brown. I told her it was a good idea, but I don't really now if it is appropriate for a baby shower. I just went to a baby shower a couple of weeks ago and they handed out mini Yankee candles!?
My girlfriend is making up little chinese take-out boxes for each person (so cute,) with mini bottles of Ghirardelli and small bags of personalized blue and white m&m's.

I think it sounds like a great idea. I almost always prefer something edible though.
She is going to make roasted sugar and cinnamon nuts and put them in the sheer bags that you typically see the Jordan Almonds in and put them inside the boxes.
I threw a shower last April for my best friend and I made little cupcakes and cinnamon rolls and attached a tag that said either "Thank you from Ben and Kristans little bun in the oven" or "thank you from Ben and Kristans' little cupcake" they were adorable, I loved it, and got sooooo many compliments!
Ditto this - I always prefer something edible over something little and useless. I love the chocolate covered pretzel idea!
For my sister's shower I had bright colored birdfeeders as centerpieces and filled them with various candy - M&M, Skittles, Jelly Beans, etc. The bottom tray of the birdfeeder held the candy in it, and at each place setting I had a thank you gift box for them to fill with candy before they left. It was a huge hit and I got the birdfeeders for about 6 bucks each at Joanns.
The last shower I was at we got clear plastic bottles filled with candy. At one I got a small ceramic carriage that opened into a trinket box -- not so good for someone who doesn't have a baby.
In all seriousness, I would think something that people with or without children would appreciate. Nothing wrong with a votive and baby colored yankee candles; the seeds in the pot; or a cute baby theme container filled with candy.

Candy? Ring Pops? Little bottles of lotion?
Sorry, totally random ideas.
