When are you switching to a toddler bed? If you have done it how did it go? Was it a hard transition? DD is almost 15 months and we aren't sure when to get her a big girl bed.

Yikes 15 months is super early unless she is climbing out. My DS is 19 mos and he is still in a crib and I have no plans to move him. My DD turned 3 in January and is moving to a big girl bed next weekend. I would have moved her a bit earlier but we had our house on the market and her room looks bigger with the crib. We'll put her in a twin bed when we are at our new house.
DS is 22 months and we're no where near switching him yet. Not that we have to because he's not trying to climb out of his crib. When we do transition to a bed, (probably closer to age 3), it'll be the twin size This End Up half bunk and I like it because it'll last a lifetime and it has rails that can be removed when he's a little older. If we ever have more children, we can add a second bed and make it a bunk bed.
I'm keeping DS in the crib until he starts crawling out of it! I like him confined, and he loves his crib. Then I'll convert the crib into the toddler bed until he needs a regular bed.

We moved DS1 at 3 once he potty trained and are planning to leave DS2 in there until at least 3 unless he starts climbing out before then. He sleeps 12 hours in his crib at night and takes 2 hour naps in his crib daily...I don't want to mess with that. When DS1 transitioned from his crib he basically gave up napping.
My son was 18 months when he switched from a crib to toddler bed and he's doing great, sleeps through the night, takes full naps and doesn't fall out haha.....but we purposely switched him early bc we are expecting another lil one
