I personally love it! I buy party stuff, snacks, birthday cards, small toys. Today I bought some night light light bulbs, cleaners. I've even gotten kitchen towels there.
Tonight is movie night. "The Wolf of Wall Street" finally. (OMG Leo!!!) I'm thawing out hot dogs for dinner. Thank you Dollar Tree for chili, hot dog buns, baked beans, popcorn, and candy. Dinner is served
I don't really shop at one right now but that is only because there really isn't a convenient one to go. Whenever I do go I always say to myself I need to come more often. I really need to remember to go there for cards and gift bags.
However, when we move there is one within walking distance of our house and in the Publix shopping center so I am sure we will be there often.
I love the dollar tree! They have great educational-ish toys- matching games, alphabet cards, coloring books, picture/board books. Craft supplies like posterboard, paper, foam, pipe cleaners, beads, etc. I like the tubs of finger paint but the crayons and markers are a little iffy. My 3 yo is really into trucks, especially construction or monster trucks and they have tons of little ones. Plastic bins/tubs for toy storage in fun colors. Candy. I stay away from the food items for the most part but sometimes I'll get crackers/snacks. I haven't been a fan of any cleaning products or kitchen stuff like saran wrap, tin foil, etc although the ziplock bags are ok.
Yes! I get cards, gift bags, wrapping paper, tissue paper, craft stuff for dd but not crayons, coloring books, board books, bins and storage containers. I just got DS's baptism party supplies like table cloths, napkins and plates. I couldn't believe they had a baptism section. Can't beat the price on those things.
I love it for gift bags, tissue, and hpt's (though when we're actively TTC I order them in bulk from amazon).

Gift wrap/bags, party supplies, and sometimes holiday items.
Also, those double insulted straw cups. Fuck paying $9 for one when I can get them for $1.
How do you insult a cup? Just curious. :P

Art stuff, coloring books, flashcards for DD, plastic silverware, foil tins, helium balloons, random crap haha, sometimes they have good drugstore brand makeup and I'll get lip gloss, bubble bath, holiday themed mugs around the holidays to fill with candy and give as little gifts...I just wander the aisles
it's great for beach & small outdoor summery toys, large serving platters & bowls, wrapping paper, shower curtain liners, packs of thank you notes, birthday/mother's day type cards, small toys to throw in w/ a birthday present for kids. i just got DS's birthday invitations there (cute dinosaurs.) i've never done the write-in kind before but for 8 for $1 i am going with it & will get creative elsewhere in the party details!
We love it. I get the kid's stocking stuffers there. We actually also got our Christmas Village there too. This way we can set it out and not worry about the kids ruining one of the items.
I have no opinion on it one way or the other? Except it makes me sad to see them in all the little tiny towns on the way to the beach...there are like 50.

OH yeah... I like to support the "ma and pop" shops in small towns, or whenever I can really. There's nothing like an old-fashioned drug store in a little town.
I love them for greeting cards, party supplies, and a cheap toy for DD. I was way to excited when a new dollar general opened up the street from our neighborhood.
At the Dollar Tree, yep, everything's a dollar. Some things, like a bottle of diet coke, candy bars, and cans of veggies are even $0.79. Even cards are 2 for $1.00. Dollar General may have things that cost $5 or so?
I like it for various things, but probably only go maybe 3-4 times a year now. When DD was little I went ALL the time because half of her junk came from there. She was so easy to please as a toddler.. lots of birthday and Christmas stocking stuffers came from there. Now- not as much. But I go for random things! Cards, tissue paper, gift bags. Stuff like that. And sometimes I find wacky stuff for cheap I wouldn't find elsewhere and pick them up (like a cute vase I got a few months ago).
