LO has been on nursing strike for the past 6 weeks. It started around the time she started to get too distracted to be held still for BF sessions. But I think there was some nipple confusion too because it coincided with the time I went back to work and she started bottle feeding during daytime.
I tried to get her to BF many times at night but she would cry or fidget away so I gave up trying. Recently I was wondering how I would wean her if the time came because from what I read here, people stopped pumping and continue on with night nursing until LOs stop on their own but DD no longer nurses.
So after 6 weeks of EPing, I tried nursing this weekend at MOTN feeding. After 3 days of trying, she nursed today. I was sooooo excited that I almost woke up DH to tell him about it

I really missed BF and was kind of sad that she stopped so early.
For the EP moms, do you wean similar to BF moms and keep offering bottles but less frequently or just by phasing out BM and adding WCM?
Re: BF after 6 weeks of nursing strike
Good for you! My DS went on a strike for a couple weeks it was so hard but I was so happy once she came back to it.
