Re: Team Green Check-In (Inside & Outside Babies)

  • 38 weeks/Pumpkin
I think it's a boy and DH thinks it is a girl.
I am so anxious to find out who this little person is - the anticipation is really getting to me. I've been buying gender neutral clothing and keep saying that I can throw a headband on her if its a girl and the outfit will work :)  I am dying to buy something pink or blue though!

Rant: If one more person asks me which gender I prefer after telling them we don't know the sex, I may scream. I really don't *prefer* one over the other. Just a healthy baby. Rave: My OB knows that I want DH to tell me if we have a little boy or little girl.

Inside Team Green - Still waiting to find out if baby is a boy or girl! 38 weeks & 5 days.

Rant - I am frustrated by many of the retailer's policies on return of baby clothing. I dont get why it is so freaking hard to understand why a person would want to wait to find out and that is why they are asking about your return policy.

Predictions - I still cant fathom a guess. There are times when I think boy and times when I think girl. I am drawn to the girls clothes right now though.

  • Babe is still inside - 38 weeks tomorrow! MW said baby ain't coming anytime soon.

Prediction: everyone thinks boy, so its in my head as a boy. But honestly, I don't care what it is, as long as its healthy and happy.
  • Still waiting to find out if this one is a boy or girl, 38+3 today.  We have plenty of cloths, we were Team Green with DD too.  I really have no predictions on what this one will be and don't care as long as it's healthy.  I've actually gotten a lot of "compliments" on being Team Green, which is nice to hear compared to the amount of "how can you do that?" I got with DD.

Team Green with an inside baby. 36 weeks tomorrow and OB told me to pack my bag and be ready! Most days I think it's a girl, but we will be thrilled either way!
  • Team green with a little girl! DH and I both thought she was a girl and literally everyone else thought boy because my pregnancies were so different.
I didn't really have a strong feeling, I just guessed girl when people asked. I was still surprised when they said "it's another girl!". I would have been shocked either way, ha ha.

  • Inside baby team green, 38w1d. Just had a docs appt baby is head down but no where near the birthing canal. I get asked all the time do I prefer one gender over the other. No I don't. As long as it's a healthy baby I am good. I first started out thinking boy, and then girl, and then back to boy. And today I just started thinking girl again. So I have no idea what it is.

37 weeks and I keep thinking girl. So obviously it's a boy because my instincts are terrible. Seriously. I am always wrong.
I just want to know. I can't wait to do the whole L&D thing and have H tell me again. It's making me cry just thinking about it. Ugh. Whormones.

I get mostly you're going to be busy comments referring to my toddler. Yes, thank you. I am aware.
I have a couple white onesies and some gender neutral sleepers from last time.  If it's a girl were set, if it's a boy we'll have some shopping to do.
I don't stock up on gender neutral clothing. I have no problem waiting until the baby is here to buy all the things.

  • 39 weeks today! And still team green. Can't wait to find out as I have no prediction. We have both already so we are ready for anything that comes our way! And we didn't have any clothes at all so we will be starting fresh!
  • Yay team green! 37+4 weeks here. No strong feelings one way or another on boy v girl. I used to think girl then thought boy, now it's "I've no idea!".

Rant: I'm doing the 24hr urine collection today for pre-e concerns. Should find out tomorrow during follow up testing what's going on. Hopefully it's just a false alarm.

Rave: my DH has been so awesome lately, especially since the 'bad' appointment yesterday. Glad to having a calming influence at times like this. :)

  • I was technically Team Green though I was sure I saw a penis at our anatomy scan thanks to a careless and cranky ultrasound tech. Sure enough we had another son! My main fear with two boys is that they wouldn't get individual attention and would just be "the boys" to family. (Our extended family really prefers and lavishes attention on the girls.) That's still a concern but I'm going to do my best to make sure they are treated as individuals. I love my new son and haven't experienced the gender disappointment I was afraid of. So that's good. I was truly happy when they said "it's a boy!" and put him on my chest. To me he's totally different than my older son and that is all this hormonal mama cared about. :)

  • 39+1 with an inside baby! I have two sons so I"m secretly hoping for a baby girl but really it doesn't matter. My oldest son desperately wants a baby sister but has ZERO inclination to tell me if baby is a girl or not!

Congrats to those with outside babies! I can't wait to meet my squish!
  • Still team green with an inside babe at 37&1. 2 weeks to go until my scheduled RCS though hoping for a VBAC.

Rant: as of Monday I had no dilation and was still super high. I've been contracting like crazy so I was hoping that they were doing something for me. Guess not.

Rave: my chiro. I love him.

Congrats to my GP Sister from another mister Bruinsbabe!!

  • Team green with inside baby at 35w1d. RCS scheduled for May 28. I think it's a boy, and that's all based off heart rate. All three have been the same and I have 2 boys. I'm super annoyed at the comments that people make like @danabsd‌ gets about going to be busy with 3 kids. No shit, really? I thought having 3 kids would be a cakewalk, guess I should have thought About that more before we got pg with a 3rd, dammit 8-| I'm also worried about the comments or looks I'll get after the baby comes if baby is a boy. I will love this baby regardless of sex. I of course would be thrilled if it's a girl, but I certainly won't be disappointed if it's a boy. I'm worried other people will not hide their feelings as well. I've already told mil that I think this baby is a boy, and she said "awwwww" with a sad pouty lip. Seriously?? STFU lady!

36+5 with an inside baby. At first I thought boy then girl for the last few months. Woke up Saturday thinking boy again, so no idea really. 36 week appointment tomorrow so hoping to find out if anything is going on down there, even though I know it really doesn't mean anything. I'm just so wanting to know who this little person is now

Outside team green (well, DH knew but did an excellent job keeping his secret)...it's a boy!!! I was completely surprised. I had a strong feeling it was a girl the whole pregnancy. I was a little shocked when they announced "it's a boy!" but am so excited!

36w5d had my last Ob appointment today and looks like baby is head down, which really doesnt matter since I'm having a csection a week from Monday. I washed all of DD old clothes this week. If this one turns out to be a boy he's gonna wear a lot of pink and purple. Good thing i do have quite a bit of gender neutral clothes too, although they're mostly christmas themed. Poor kid!
Rant: My mom keeps getting on my case about planning a bris. She thinks I should have planned it by now. Um no, i refuse to plan it until this baby is out and i actually know if its a boy or girl. Im not gonna waste people's time planning a bris for a girl!!!
Rave: My ob said it will be ok to do skin-to-skin with the baby in the OR while they do the hysterectomy. Yay for getting to snuggle with my LO while I'm getting all chopped up. She also said she'll go in with a horizontal incision which is great news because the other Ob at my previous appoitnment had said most likely it would be a vertical incision.

  • Team Green with an inside baby still. Although we did spend 3 hours in L&D this evening. I have felt girl most of the pregnancy, but now leaning towards boy the last month or so. I haven't had any major annoyances other than today. I got sent to L&D for having all day (mild) contraction. They were super busy (10 babies already delivered). We got sent home bc my contractions weren't close enough. Nurse said I could easily be back in tonight or tomorrow - even though my cervix is completely closed. DH was having a good time "practicing" - here I my post from earlier. https://forums.thebump.com/discussion/comment/81575019#Comment_81575019

Inside baby still at 37 weeks today.  I'm thinking (hoping) it's a girl.  I would love a girl, plus my 3 yo son has been quite sure for a long time that it is a little sister.  He does have a 50/50 chance!  I think another boy would be great too.  My son would have lots of fun with a little brother!

Although more than anything, I just want a healthy baby - who is a great sleeper ;)
oh and that s/he doesn't decide to come tomorrow since it's his/her big brother's birthday!

I can't wait for my husband to announce what the baby is...or to get my VBAC and be able to see it when baby is placed on my chest!

  • Inside Team Green baby here at 36w5d.  I haven't a clue whether this baby is a boy or girl.  I started out thinking it was a boy, then switched to girl, now am back to being clueless.  DH originally thought girl, then switched to boy and still thinks boy.  We are doing a "baby hunch" poll with our friends and family and right now hunches are tied at 51% boy / 49% girl!

At my OB appt this past Monday the doc said the baby's head is nice and low in my pelvis (she felt it with her hand during my cervical exam) but that my cervix is still hard and closed.  I am a big ball of nerves wondering when this baby will decide to make an appearance!

I just pray that s/he is healthy and that my labor goes as smoothly as possible!

Inside team green at 38w6d... Still no real sense- I've gone back and forth but recently I keep thinking girl and my hubby calls it "him" so... Rant: I feel great, so I've been working, going to the gym, etc. but my presence seems to be making other people uncomfortable because I'm so far along- seriously folks, if the doctor is cool with it, what's your deal? Rave: It's getting so close that I'm seeing a lot of friends I don't see often because they want to get together once more before the baby comes. It's great!
  • Team Green boy born May first at 7:45pm.
  • Team green outside baby. LO is a girl! I went back and forth with what I thought she was, but I was 100% expecting a boy.

Rant - it's hot as hell in my hometown so we escaped for the day to the beach.
Rave - DH is being awesome!
